It will never not crack me up that of all people being in outlandish over the top rolls even Tim Curry couldn't get through this and this was likely the best take.
Someone wrote in recent days that it was the very first take and Curry had just read the words for the first time, followed by lots of 'serious' takes... Everyone agreed that the first one was the funniest
Nah the plot was,is and remains absolutely bonkers with lots of gratification and hot women. The Allied campaign ends with us arresting the premier while he is in his underwear:))
Never take the plot seriously, well at least in Red Alert,Tiberium series tries to lean more towards a more serious approach but it has it's own campy moments.
Yea they are meant to be taken lightly. They wouldn't work as anything too serious. Imagine c&c generals taking itself seriously lol. But the stereotypes and subtle jabs are part of the fun.
The Command & Conquer series used live action cutscenes. In the early games they were low budget but an interesting change to rendered graphics. By the time of Red Alert 3, they were actually investing serious money.
Imagine Tim Curry, JK Simmons, and George Takei as the leaders of the USSR, US, and Japanese Empire each bringing their own flavour of ham.
Soviet psychically dominated giant squids that grapple enemy destroyers and cruisers, countered by Allied attack dolphins who shoot sonic booms at them. What a game!
I remember reading somewhere that she was meant to be part of a 2 woman unit. Tanya done all the shooting and the other was an IRA bomber. Which was the style at the time
I did this in Tiberium Sun. I played a friend who used my .ini file without asking what was in it. I was sure to not modify the side he usually played.
He was building up his base and a civilian bus drilled up out if the ground outside hus base. His base defenses didn't target it.
"That's weird, but whatever."
The bus pulled to the middle of his base. It stopped. Then commando units came pouring out. They leveled his base in seconds.
There's a remake/reimagination of Total Annhilation by fans. (If you know what that game is, since it's around the same time as Red Alert). It's actually very well made. Beyond All Reason
The two are completely different genres, not really comparable. You might as well say "Baldur's Gate 3 is better anyways." If people want an RTS, Advanced Wars is a garbage choice... because it's not one.
Anything that removes risk community-run projects to keep older games up and playable, is a good thing.
The mobile games were a confirmation of my opinion that EA could no longer do anything with the franchise that was any good. Even if they had not cancelled that Generals sequel /reboot (or whatever it would have been) it would have likely been "meh" at best.
Will definitely look for it. I think even some Starcraft devs are there. Blizzcon coming up hopefully we get SOMETHING ANYTHING new in regards to Starcraft
They end up releasing a single player gacha game set in the StarCraft universe, no strategy to speak of. Just gambling on getting an S rank Kerrigan or Raynor.
Alternatively, they announce a StarCraft-Fortnite collab.
just have some anti air units mixed, have them sitting far away from their targets ... grab some popcorn...watch the destruction lol ... that reminds me of those chrono units too that just make buildings disappear haha... god i loved that game
I couldn't even begin to guess how many. My friend and I would dial directly into each other's modems, and stay up all night battling. This and the original Warcraft game. Sooooo many nights trying to quietly sneak into bed at 4am after my eyeballs had completely given out on me
