Depends on a few factors, but yes it is possible. I'm assuming his surgeons probably recommended radiation therapy, in which case it's more likely than not that they won't grow back. Even if they did though, I'm doubtless that they also recommended he use silicon treatments if it occurs again, which should prevent it from getting this out-of-hand at the very least.

The guy is from a place where the hospital closes on certain days. He got treated on a charity hospital ship. I do not think radiation therapy is likely to be accessible to him over the lung term, sadly
