I’m at a conference and I saw someone hold their camera to the content on screen. The camera put a yellow box around the content and basically took a screenshot of only the content. How did he do this? It looks so beneficial to save only content in a picture like this.

Just noticed this in iMessage. There’s a faint square/rounded box around the moon icon next to “notifications silenced.” It’s visible on the actual screen too, not just the screenshot.
Is this a known iOS rendering bug?

I truly believe my abusive ex-boyfriend is spying on my cellphone, and I honestly don't know what to do.
I always had that intuition, but because of the gaslighting I suffered during the relationship, I thought I was going crazy. Looking back at his past actions, he always somehow knew things I searched for and really personal stuff I only talked about with my best friends online.
After going through all this abuse, I started therapy, and I suddenly remembered one specific time we met up: he made a drink for me, and I got extremely drunk much faster than I ever normally do. I don't know if he put something in my drink that day, but my cellphone was sitting in a different position when I woke up. Now, I'm questioning if he installed something to spy on me.
When I broke up with him he shared private things with his friends that I never told him and just existed strictly on my phone.
I am terrified that he might share my intimate pictures or sell them online, or share them with his friends. Because he is poor and broke, I honestly don't know what low he wouldn't sink to
Has anyone experienced anything like this, or does anyone know what steps I should take to check for spyware or secure my phone?
I feel like i am realiving that trauma…

So I’ve had my iPhone 14 for about 3 days now and im just sitting here and appreciating all of the animations in iOS 26+1. It’s actually one of the reasons I switched from android.

Every blocker I tried still had an escape hatch. Screen Time was a passcode. App limits were Ignore Limit. I always found the door.
What finally helped was locking Instagram and TikTok until I finish something real and unlock with a photo that I did it. Dottle is what I use. Not magic, but there is no four-digit cheat code anymore.

Anyone else have Safari on iPhone and iPad completely crash and reload the page when zooming in? It’s been an issue for a decade now and still not fixed

Hey all, I’ve been discovering a weird phenomenon over the past few nights, and was wondering if someone could explain technically how it works. Not sure if anyone else has brought this up before.
Late at night, before I go to bed, I’ll usually ask Siri to set some reminders for the next day/morning. However, it’s after midnight in which this happens. Take a Sunday night for example. I’ll say, “Hey Siri, set a reminder for tomorrow at 9am to do the dishes”, and even though it’s say 12:30am or 1am (so really Monday morning) it will still set the reminder for that Monday at 9am. Not Tuesday at 9am, which is not what I want but technically correct. Hope this makes sense.
I’ve yet to figure out when the threshold is of when “tomorrow” actually becomes the next day, or if your phone just knows you haven’t gone to bed yet and assumes “tomorrow” always means the day after your most recent sleep period. Has anyone experienced this, or can someone explain it to me?
It’s iPad (9th generation), on ios 26.6.1
I lock the screen when I start the recharge and it’s dark. But in the morning I see a soft glow on the screen.
I’m pretty sure this began when I first updated to v26. Is this common? Is it a setting?

I have an iPhone and an iPad linked to the same iCloud account.
From time to time, I check my Screen Time on my iPad to see my iPhone’s usage. However, sometimes the Screen Time data from my iPhone suddenly stops syncing with my iPad.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is this a known bug?
For example, today the latest Screen Time data I can see from my iPhone is from yesterday at 1:07 PM. Nothing after that has synced or appeared on my iPad.
Both devices are connected to the same iCloud account.
Has anyone found a fix for this, or does the syncing eventually start working again on its own?

It's an amazing feature with one extreme drawback that I can't understand. What's the difference?

I’ve noticed past few days that audio no matter what app it comes from kinda skips when I shut it off. Like it stutters a bit before turning off. This happened with several apps including Spotify, instagram, translate, alarm… anyone else have this happen and know what I mean?

I have had my photos iCloud sync stalled for quite some time now, and my patience is running out. Is there any way to see what items are currently being synced or the sync queue, either natively, with an app or even with xcode?
I had ~400 items in sync queue and after days nothing changed. I managed to hunt some videos causing the issue down and got the queue down to 18. But after that I wasn't able to locate problematic media anymore from 35k items I have in photos.

Hello everyone, need some help with imessage storage taking up almost 40GB of space on my iphone. I have a 12 pro max with 128GB storage and 6TB icloud storage as well (only about 2TB used).
A month ago, i was persistently getting a storage full error on my phone because apple maps was taking up 20GB storage despite clearing cache, offloading app, and attempting to delete the app (i finally fixed this bug by updating to the latest ios).
Now that i finally had about 115GB full of 128GB— my imessage app started taking up way more storage and has shot up to almost 40GB leaving me at stuck with a laggy phone and no storage available on my phone. Seems to be another bug?
Why is my phone doing this?! Why are all my images in chats being downloaded and stored as app data when this was never the case in the past? Do i need to toggle some sort of setting?!
disclaimer- i do not necessarily want to clear my chats i like to have the imessage history but do not need to have the app taking up this much storage all of a sudden due to pictures and videos.

I share some reminder lists with my wife. We are both updated to 26.6.1. I have had us sign out and log back in, deleted the app and reinstalled it, made sure it was refreshing; nothing seems to work.
Anyone figure out a solution? This is really Frustrating…

I remember my phone going from 20 to 80 in like... less than 30 minutes. Now? It's stuck around 1% a minute. I'm using such a high powered "fast charger" that used to literally charge this in what felt like seconds. Now it's the same speed as using a portable charger - something with way less power per second!!
I was using a fairly high draining app and with the fastest high power charger my phone was actively still draining - something that has been impossible in the past with this charger. Even turning on airplane mode, low power mode, and brightness all the way dim, it was taking 2-3 minutes per % it was increasing while using the app. Ive used this app a few months ago and it had the same issue - but my phone was able to charge seriously so much faster.
I've been off that app for a while and my phone is still taking like a full minute per percentage. Which I know did not used to be the case. And, an hour and a half from 80 to 100!? With this charger?? I swear pretty damn recently it was maybe 30-40 minutes, tops.
This just seems insane. My husband is equally as confused because this charger is - was? so good. and yes we have 2 of them, one used and one barely used, both are doing this very slow 1% a minute thing somewhat fairly recently - and we tried different boxes and wall outlets and stuff for both and nothing changed. Im on the most recent IOS update.
I've had so many reasons to go to a different phone brand after this phone and the reasons just keep piling up seemingly, even when I think it's already so bad! Is there at least a setting to turn "slow charging" off? I just checked and all my charging settings are normal, optimized and clean and everything is off. This just seems new and my phone hasn't changed so it (imo) has to be the IOS updates.
Please lmk if you know of any changes in recent IOS updates because that will at least clear up my confusion a bit! And if the beta is better also lmk!
edit: charging port is clean and clear!
edit: this charging speed is the same even when all apps are closed and my phone is off, in airplane mode and low battery mode. only like 1 or 2 apps have background refresh on and I've changed settings in those apps so it's every like 15 minutes rather than every minute so it's not that either.
