A few months ago, I started getting a notification that my iPhone 12 Pro camera (IOS 26.6) was not recognized (“camera not recognized“), indicating it was either malfunctioning or an unofficial camera was installed (I didn’t not do anything to the camera, official or otherwise). This error showed up for several weeks and then the back facing camera stopped working completely. When I open the camera, it shows a black screen. The selfie camera works fine.

Incidentally, I went on a trip to the UK and my front facing camera suddenly worked. It then stopped working when I returned to the states. Does anyone have a fix for this? Apple must be blocking what they consider to be a 3rd party camera. TIA.

My phone was being super super slow when touching it to like use it, so I force restarted it and it basically stopped working at all. It turns on barely when I touch like most of the time it doesnt work. I've forced restarted it multiple times, cleaned my phone, took off my phone case, and my phone is at like 40 percent and nothing is working. I sometimes get to the passcode screen where it is so slow and barely works and I can't enter my passcode in at all

Hi so I (17F) recently have had my iPhone 14 Pro taken by my parents. This iPhone shares the same iCloud as my iPad which I’m currently using however, my iPhone somehow doesn’t come up on FindMy (even when it’s not dead and connected to WiFi). I want to at least be able to know where my phone is or be able to vicariously access certain apps I’ve got on my iPhone such as Snapchat, passwords and photos. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

I tried controlling my boyfriend’s phone on FaceTime but the screen control button is completely gone. I tried searching up on things to fix it but none of them worked. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I have a iPhone 13 and the update im currently on is ios 26.5

i was sent a notification that the latest backup had failed. when i checked my storage, it was showing 1.6gb/5gb and that its not able to backup because i had not enough storage. i made sure that Photos and iMessage were disabled but its still showing me the error. i then checked the backup details and was shocked by the size. 54gb+ for the next backup?? i havent made any changes to the backup settings for years. the only change that i can think if was i downloaded a game (Honor of Kings) earlier today, but when i checked how much it was taking, it only showed 20gb, and its not even appearing on backup details so im stumped. anyone know whats happening?

update 1: ive deleted some in game resources on HoK and the next back up size dropped to 44gb and my iphone storage is showing the game as 8gb now, but the game is still not showing up on the backup details page

update 2: ive deleted HoK entirely and its finally behaving normally (just showing a few mb for the next backup). but the app was only 8gb before i deleted it, so why is it asking for more than 40gb in the cloud and being invisible in the backup details page?

My phone has been connected to random devices around my campus. I noticed my AirPods were getting some interference and cutting out, went to check my Bluetooth connection, and i had connected to a random laptop. Now every time my AirPods cut out, i go look and im connected to a random device. I checked my Bluetooth permissions, airplay and continuity settings, nothing out of the ordinary. Hi everyone,

My iPhone 15 has started shutting down and restarting by itself approximately every 2–3 minutes. This began yesterday/today, shortly after I installed the latest iOS update.

I have already tried force-restarting the phone several times, but the problem continues. I have now found around 50 “panic-full” entries under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data.

The panic log repeatedly contains:

“SMC PANIC - ASSERT: SMC BSC failure”
“OUTBOX1 not ready”
“sensor array 0 - 5 is 0”

I would especially appreciate advice on whether I should:

1. try recovery mode and choose “Update” rather than “Restore”;
   
2. avoid restoring the phone because I do not want to lose my data; or
   
3. return it directly to Refurbed as a defective refurbished device.
   

The attached image shows part of one of the panic-full logs. I have not included my serial number, IMEI, Apple ID, phone number, or order details.

The iOS version is: 26.6.1

I did the trade in for my iPhone 16 pro and I bought an iPhone Air. I had a balance of $800 to pay with my credit card Now, I want to return the iPhone Air. Will Apple refund the total amount on my credit card or will it give me an Apple gift card for the amount of the trade in?

It used to just be like that automatically, but now when I click my friends picture and select photos it’s in completely random order which is super annoying.

Is there a setting to fix that?

Hi everyone, my iPhone 11 has had a major issue, think it automatically tried to update overnight (despite me turning that feature off) and now won’t turn on. I’m putting it in recovery mode and trying to update it from my MacBook Air which ones MacOS big sur 11.7.11 however I think this may be incompatible with IOS update 26.6.1? Does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks for your help!

I have an iPhone 14 on iOS 17.6.1. I’m trying to update it to iOS 18.7.8, but it can’t. I originally had the option to update to iOS 26, but that’s no longer an option I can find. Does anyone have any solutions or ideas?

Hey everyone, running into a brutal crash/freezing loop on WhatsApp for iOS and need some technical advice.

The app UI displays, but all touch interactions inside the app are dead. iOS system UI (Control Center, notifications, app switcher) works perfectly.

The issue started immediately after I received \~100+ media messages in a group. iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26.6, WhatsApp 26.33.73.

Troubleshooting I've already tried (none worked):

* Offload & reinstall via Settings
* Updated to the latest version from the App Store
* Full device restart
* Exited the problematic group and cleared its media from the linked macOS app
* Airplane mode launch with a 10+ minute wait
* Background App Refresh and cellular data disabled before launch

The macOS desktop app works perfectly and stays in sync. Notifications still arrive on the phone, but tapping them opens the app into the same frozen state.

The constraint: I have \~20 GB of unsynced local chat history on this device. I cannot delete the app or risk a full wipe.

What the logs show:

I pulled the .ips crash report from Analytics data and watched Console during launch. iOS kills WhatsApp with SIGKILL after "Failed to terminate gracefully after 5.0s". The main thread is parked in `__DISPATCH_WAIT_FOR_QUEUE__` inside a Core Data fetch:

`-[NSManagedObjectContext executeFetchRequest:error:]`

`-[NSPersistentStoreCoordinator _routeHeavyweightBlock:]`

A few frames down: `WAMediaIsStreamable` and `WAStreamingMediaKeyForFileHash`. Plus 511 threads on `net.whatsapp.sidecar_async`, all waiting on the same queue. So the main thread is stuck on a heavyweight Core Data fetch tied to media, and the watchdog kills the app.

After the offload + reinstall, Console added a new failure:

`container_create_or_lookup_app_group_path_by_app_group_identifier: client is not entitled`

`Application context data is nil`

`Couldn't read values in CFPrefsPlistSource (Domain: group.net.whatsapp.WhatsApp.shared) ... detaching from cfprefsd`

My reading: the reinstall broke the entitlement link to the existing App Group container, so the fresh binary can't open the old database at all.

A friend in the same group got the same media flood and his WhatsApp works fine. He has \~25 GB, so it's not purely a database size issue.

What I'm looking for: advanced, non-destructive recovery methods. Specifically:

1. Has anyone recovered from "client is not entitled" on an App Group container without deleting the app?
   
2. Deep cache/database clearing tricks, background process tricks, or Siri/URL schemes to force-open a specific, non-frozen screen?
   
3. If I delete and reinstall, does iOS ever preserve the App Group container? Pretty sure the answer is no, but I want confirmation before I nuke 20 GB.

Hi guys, I keep trying to uninstall some apps from my phone but the only option is to remove them from my home screen. I followed some instructions on the Internet to go as following: to general, then phone storage and remove them from there, but it didn’t work. I didn’t even have an option like that. Any ideas on how to deal with that?

I noticed something confusing in several stores. The demonstration iPhone 17 has a ZF/A part number, which I understand is a European version. However, when I ask for a new sealed unit, the box has MG6J4AF/A instead. The store employees couldn’t explain why the demo unit is ZF/A while the new phones are AF/A.

I’ve seen AF/A described as an Algeria / Middle East, but I’m confused because Algeria doesn’t have official Apple Stores.

So I have a few questions. Is it a normal phone with AF/A? Does anyone from Europe actually own/use an AF/A iPhone? Are there any differences compared with European iPhones?

My smart invert turned on, and now my screen is dark grey, and siri cant turn it off. I cant unlock my phone, even with face id. someone please help.

I’m trying to download an app. It won’t let me download it because it needs my ID first. I submit my ID, and it gets accepted. Then it asks me to confirm my credit card, which I also do but the charge never actually goes through, and I can’t get back to the App Store from there. I can tap ‘save,’ and it shows as saved, but nothing actually happens after that.

The “driving” button is still there next to the other 3 options but when it’s selected it doesn’t change to the old map style with the yellowish tan background and all the streets etc..

I’ve tried everything in the app. Everything in the settings. Force quit, restarting device, updates. Google, Chat GPT, etc.

I've been trying to program my iPhone 17 (iOS version 26.6.1) so that it will provide ALL of my Gmails instead of only the Gmails for the past 90 days. I have very much more storage space on the iPhone than needed for all the Gmails.

I've searched extensively for instructions on how to do this, but none of the instructions works. They don't work either because they include steps that cannot be carried out on my iPhone or because. If they can be carried out. they are unsuccessful.

I went into my iCloud settings and saw this. When I click on “complete purchase,” it takes me to re subscribe to iCloud+, which I don’t need to because I’m already on an active Apple One plan. iCloud is included in the Apple One bundle.

I don’t wanna lose my data. Do I need to do anything or is it just a bug?
