Honestly any band Jimi would’ve played with would’ve been ok but Noel was fucking nasty when it came to the bass and the bass line was fucking dirty as fuck. Like in this Stockton recording the bass just sticks out like a sore thumb and I can’t ignore it. Raw and unaltered, like this bass line is really nasty but appealing.

Trying to think of some imagery or symbols which would be a good reflection of Jimi as a tattoo without getting the generic portrait image. So far all I can think of would be maybe a castle or a guitar lying down on fire. Asking for help from someone with more creativity than me lol.

One thing I find interesting is that Jimi says he has no one but this girlfriend to anchor him to reality, yet he finds it hard to even give her a call. Feels like he was drifting around too much. Also shows some part of him was likely always "shy"; the one person he felt grounded with at the time, he found it hard to give her a ring.

Am I the only one that feels anger when reading about the treatment she gives to Leon Hendrix who actually grew up with Jimi 🤷.
