I am so upset. 100+ applications, only 4 interviews in 14 months and stuck in an extremely toxic household, I am fighting for my life to not lose hope but how much can one person even take? I am so tired.

I am doing all I physically can to move forward but every single day just seems to be the same repetitive shit. I don’t know what to do anymore.

The workday lawsuit also has made me realise my competition is a fkn robot and how many of my 100+ applications were automated to be sent in the junk file since I have an ethnic first and second name… Ik they discriminated on other factors too but ethnic name discrimination has been widely documented multiple times so it’s something that has been bothering tf out of me.

I literally posted here 10 days ago saying I was going bananas from the job search. But I finally have a full time job in my desired field of UX/UI Design (I was considering doing customer service lol).

I’ve been searching for probably around 9 months. I graduated in May 2026 but was lightly searching since Jan 2026 and went hard from June - now. Probably did 100s of applications I’d say maybe 600 or something total. Around 20 initial interviews 8 passed to next round, 3 final rounds all being rejected previously and now finally after 5 rounds of interviews me in I’ll be making $75k 🥳

I've been looking for a job for 2 years. I have a PhD in human physiology, with several years of military leadership and a good track record publications and grants. After 200+ applications. I got a handful of interviews, but not for anything I actually applied for, or was remotely qualified for. No offers. In 2 years, not a single offer. Starting to feel like we're at a point where if you're on the outside of the job market, it's just never going to happen. Like this is it. I'm going to move in with my parents and just never be employable again.

After months and months of applying, over 100+ applications, I have finally landed a remote job, it's 15k (INR) per month, from 12 pm - 9pm.

I have had better paying jobs in the past, but this was the only place that replied and requested for an interview. My CTC has been 35k (INR) per month.

But I knew if I asked for more, they'd reject me because they couldn't pay more.

Tbh, knowing that given my experience this is way way below what I would usually get, has been quite an experience. I felt like a loser for a while, still do.

I'm relatively new to this sector and I was confused on my first day.

I have been broke for so long, I stopped going out and hanging out with friends because I literally didn't have money.

Currently I have 4 rs in my account.

Some money is better than no money.

I'm tired of being rejected. For the past year and a half, all I've done is go to interviews and then get rejected. I know my resume's good enough to get me shortlisted, but it doesn't move past that. I answer all the questions to the best of my ability, show up on time, and am authentic in how I present myself. I'm tired.

Update: I just spent the last 10 hours answering any questions anybody had about recruitment process and assisting mostly by writing job search strings for folks to help them find the specific positions they are really targeting and helping them understand corporate language and how their skills transfer and qualify them for other positions they might not have thought of. Additionally I have offered interviewing advice for various positions based on my own expertise. I have not included my company on this page yet because quite frankly I have not asked if I could outreach like this and I dont want to lose my job before I even start it. When I get formal permission I will share my companies name, but until then I will respect their privacy and keep it to the DMS. Im SURE you understand.
Transparency: I am not going to get you a new job Im going to give you tools that i used so that you can find a new job and secure it. I should say, I'm not in as desperate a situation as some of you. My situation is toxic and bad for my health, and I need to get out, but I'm not on the verge of total ruin or collapse. For those of you that are, my heart really goes out to you. This is just my story.

I've rebuilt my resume 4 or 5 times now from 2024 till now. I've worked with resume writers, with Reddit, with connections I have IRL to ensure my resume is as good as it can be. I've rebuilt my digital presence, updated my LinkedIn and rebuilt my portfolio website. I'm posting to LinkedIn as regularly as I can stomach. I've implemented the master resume strategy, the multi-resume strategy, the tailored resume strategy. I've played every keyword game. I've submitted with PDFs, plain text files, Word docs, you name it. I've aimed for positions above my current role, lateral to my current role, and beneath my current role.

Closing in on three years, I've submitted nearly 3,000 applications. I've had 4 interviews in that time and 5 non-related recruiter calls. I've been auto-rejected by every single other application. I woke up this morning to an auto-rejection email from a job I submitted for last night. There isn't an HR team in the galaxy that efficient.

Funny enough, the only ones I haven't been auto-rejected from are all non-WorkDay systems. The thing that's really irritating me is that I recently learned about that WorkDay lawsuit. I almost had hope, but then I read the details; a black man, aged 40, living with disabilities is claiming discrimination because he's been auto-rejected from hundreds of workday applications. I'm a white man, aged 33, with no disabilities who's been auto-rejected from thousands of workday applications. So, even if he wins (and I do hope he does because then at least one of us can get somewhere), it may only make things harder for someone like me.

I've ended up doing the one thing I'm not "supposed" to do; re-applying for jobs I've been auto-rejected from with slightly different details to see what's causing the auto-rejection. I mean, if I'm never going to get in front of a person, then what difference does it make? I'll be black-listed? For all I know and for all anyone will ever tell me, I already am!

This isn't a cry for help - it's just a rant. I started to focus on my business as that's the only bright spot in professional development anyway. I'm only sharing my experience because; whether you're like me, like Derek Mobley, or like any of your unemployed connections on LinkedIn; this has been a futile effort for all of us.

So, in order to get a job, you need to pay for someone to prepare your cv and LinkedIn page for you. Then you need to pay for 10 different job boards. Then, you need to become a LinkedIn influencer and build your own personal brand and send 100s of applications to jobs that don't even exist in the end.

I am so pissed and so profoundly discouraged rn. I know I sound like a crying bitch but I just needed to vent a little bit.

I am planning to actually print my CV and take it to places in person to see if maybe that'll give me better results. That's honestly my last attempt before I just take a waiter job bc I need a job, any job at this point. Because I do not believe in online applications anymore. Been unemployed for 2 months and just recently went back to my old bartending job for 1 day a week. I work at a slow restaurant though and make my wage with tips. There is just not enough traffic to pay my bills that way. I'm considering just going through and getting random certifications to add to my resume. I don't want to do 4 more years of school though since I am graduating with my BA in general business in December. What at best certifications I can add to that, and it won't take 2 years.

I've been unemployed and without a full time job since December of 2025. I've probably sent about 250 job applications in and went through interviews with 10 different companies. Yesterday, after a 2-month process, I had a final-round interview with a company I was really excited for. I'm not sure if it went well, but I am getting so disheartened.

Title: I’ve been job hunting in Europe for 2 years. I’m exhausted, but I’m not giving up. I just need one opportunity.

I normally wouldn’t do this, but I’m honestly running out of options, so I’m going to put this out there.

The past two years have been the most humbling period of my life.

Moving to Europe four years ago was a dream I had since I was a child. I worked day and night to make it happen. I eventually sold my company to finance my education abroad because I believed it would give me the opportunity to build a career and the life I had always dreamed about.

I’m currently based in Paris, France, and I recently completed my Master’s in Business Analytics and Strategy.

It’s been two years now, and things haven’t gone as planned.

I’ve sent hundreds of CVs. I’ve gone to companies in person. I’ve applied online, networked, followed up, asked for referrals, and tried almost everything I could think of.

And honestly, I’m exhausted.

But I’m still here, and I’m still trying.

At this point, the only thing I have left is my faith in God and the belief that I only need one person to give me a chance.

I’m completely open to relocating. I’m not limiting myself to Paris or even France. If there’s a genuine opportunity anywhere in Europe where I can contribute, learn, and grow, I’m willing to move.

So if you see this, please don’t just ignore it. If you have advice, know someone hiring, know a company that might be willing to give me a chance, or even have an idea of something I could try that I haven’t thought of, I would genuinely appreciate it.

I had a 3rd round interview with Global Director of Program management on 8/3/26.

I thought I did well during initial, 2nd round and 3rd round interview.

On 8/13/26 HR asked for my salary expectations from and I said the middle of the posted range.

I followed up with them on 8/21/26 for any updates at 9-10am

Today is 8/31/26 and I have heard nothing back from them.

Does this mean I am essentially ghosted and should not expect an offer?

I am extremely anxious and worried because I wanted it to end up well, but I think they at have silently rejected me?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

So, today, I headed to a scheduled second interview at a fast-food place and see that another person is there at the same time. The first person is interviewed for a few minutes, and I wait at least 40 more minutes. During that time, I see the hiring manager is eating and talking on the phone, and I didn't want to be rude or anything, so I kept sitting and waiting. Eventually, I head outside for a walk to stretch my legs, get some air, not even for half a minute. I head back in the building, and see the hiring manager now available, and ask her if she could interview me now. The first thing out of her mouth is, "You were the one who just walked out?" To get some air and stretch my legs, yes. Apparently, during break time, she was observant enough to notice me the entire time and not reassure or acknowledge me or anything. She then tells me to sit and wait some more. 10 minutes later, the store manager comes out, not the hiring manager herself. The kicker? I was asked the exact same "questions" as my first interview. Same clipboard and everything, virtually no real information given other than my name and phone number, again. After an hour waiting, I didn't want to burn a bridge or leave empty handed, so I answered them, again. Anyone else had such a sham of an experience?

I've been asked this (and similar questions, but I can't remember what specifically) multiple times and I've never been able to come up with something. I was thinking of just making something up since I can't remember an actual example of this, but I'm having trouble with that too. Every time I try to think it feels like there's something blocking me from thinking. What's a plausible answer for this?

BTech CSE student aiming for a good-paying job by 2028 — what should I focus on?

I'm currently a 2nd-year BTech CSE student in India, and I have around 2 years to prepare for placements/jobs (targeting 2028).

Right now, I don't have strong technical skills yet. I'm learning Java and planning to get into software development, but I'm confused about what I should focus on to become job-ready and hopefully get a good package by 2028.

My rough goal is 20+ LPA, although I understand that may be difficult and I'm willing to put in the work.

What skills should I learn between now and 2028?

Should I focus on Java + DSA + development, or choose something else?

How important are projects, internships, LeetCode/competitive programming, GitHub, etc.?

What should I realistically be able to do by the end of 2027?

Is 20+ LPA realistic for someone starting from almost zero in 2 years?

If you were in my position, what roadmap would you follow?

I been applying to jobs like target, sam club, giant and other jobs i forgot i even applied month's again with no response sam clubs the only one that responded back but was just a rejection email I can only apply for part time since I'llgraduatehighschool at 19 ( had to repeat kindergarten).

The one successful thing I was able to was calling giant and asking for there hiring manger which he said he'll call be back tomorrow after looking at my application but I'm suspicious of that before that .

I went in store two times to ask for manger to get a interview before calling them only thing they said was leave my contact info and they will contact me.
