Work in Progress beginning of kitchner gone wrong :(

hi all! beginner/intermediate knitter here. ive started knitting a balaclava, and attempted the kitchener stitch for the first time (as per the instructions) and im pretty proud of myself because i did relatively well bar the first few stitches. is there a way im able to go back on myself to correct the first few?

Undo everything you did after the first few and then start over.

is there no way of undoing the front few and backstitching into them?

Did you start with a separate piece of yarn? Then...maybe?

Just un-do it and do it right. It's the best way at this point.

You can put in a lifeline on both rows besides the kitcheners stitch that you wanna fix, unpick where you dont like and re-do that section. You’ll just have two more ends to weave in.
