This started with me trying to reduce my stash. This particular combo of colors felt like a perfect fall day.

It’s a variation on an Everyday Sock, incorporating the twisted ribs. My Ravelry notes have a summary of my pattern modifications.

I’ll be kicking around some fall leaves in these soon ;)

I tried following a flat sock pattern https://crazyhands.net/two-needles-slipper-socks-knitting-pattern/ because I don’t have circulars or understand knitting in the round yet. I knitted it in 100% wool because I had it left over and knew from the start it would not be successful enough to actually wear. It’s too small. I didn’t understand how to do a proper gauge square before I started. I learned a lot about following patterns and seaming at the end. The two things I’ve come away confused on is how to do a yarn over increase if you need to immediately go into purl position (I ended up doing kfb increases instead because I couldn’t understand). And why my selvedge stitch never looks like neat v’s no matter what technique I try. I hope you enjoy my 1300’s sock!

Hello everyone!

Here is the finished Marielle top by Marias Verden. I'm so happy with the result! The pattern was well written, but it was quite a challenge for me as a beginner knitter.

As you can see in photo 3, I had to add a few stitches on the armpits as the top turned out to be a bit too wide. That's probably my fault, as I didn't do the gauge swatch😅.

I knit it in the size 3 and used Knitting For Olive Cotton Merino yarn in Rhubarb Rose. I will be deffinitely wearing this all the time for the last weeks of summer hehe🌸

I've been customizing Brooklyn Tweed's Ballantine gloves for my husband, adding stitches customizing things to fit him perfectly. This has to be my sixth one, at least. (This process has been about 2 years in the making, as I'd never made gloves of any sort or edited a pattern before.)

He came down with COVID and is miserable, so I stayed up late to finish them and was so excited to present it for him to try on. I noticed something felt a little odd...

Sure enough, I made a right handed companion to the right handed glove I already made him that he loves. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sharing here because I cannot be the only person that has made this mistake, and I could use some support lol.

I'm still pretty new to knitting and I wanted some advice on my scarf :)

I don't think I'm twisting anything and the tension looks good...?

My edges are folding in but thinking blocking will help with that in the end.

I'm self taught, YouTube mainly. I have a friend that gives me advice thru texting but idk if she's just hyping me up or not lol. She's been knitting for a few years now.

Edit 2: I think I'll be sewing the scarf in half to stop the curling. It's a wool blend so I'll still try blocking first (also practice doing it because I've never blocked before!)

I seem to be unable to follow a pattern without making changes. Lol Sized needles down for a less see through fabric, went up to a large to account for it, added a v neck and ditched the ribbing at the neck, added an extra repeat, and of course, worked in a completely different fiber than suggested. Oh, also changed the raglan a bit to account for the v neck.

Yarn is Sultan Shadow from Hobbii, got it on sale so it's a $10 shirt. Used about 750 yards.

The darker more mysterious sister to my „Runner Rabbit Vest“.

Story is also pretty much the same for both… I am trying to make some good stuff out of my stash, to make some room.

The dark blue yarn was a gift so I have no info on it.
The light blue (snails color) is Elisa Merino 80 (100% wool).
The baby blue used in the cuffs was from an old sweater I unraveled, I think it’s cotton.

The cuffs are crochet, but anything else is knitted.

I found the snail motive online and tweaked it so that it fit my measurements. Can drop it in the comments, if anyone is interested.

Two years ago today I cast on the Flax Sweater by Tin Can Knits. I had been practicing knitting and purling on random swatches but it was the first time I was determined to make something. Two years later and knitting has taken over my life. I’ve been to yarn stores all over the world. I host a stitch and bitch with my friends. I have made so many projects, not all of them are pictured here, nor are my 5 ish wips. I am currently participating in my first KAL. I had been crocheting for two years prior, and I still crochet, but knitting is just my favorite hobby. I knit on planes and trains and at work and at appointments. I have a long knitting queue and so many techniques I want to learn. I just think it’s the best thing ever and I get so excited about how I get to keep doing it for the rest of my life (hopefully).

Mom-to-be requested rainbow pastels and I delivered! Bonus dress with leftover yarn.

I never really post here but I’m quite proud of these : Heather’s Charm Mitts by Woolen Tales by Alina Bogdanova. Made with Ernrum E+2 from The Woolly Thistle. It’s this super yummy Icelandic wool + Mulberry silk.

The colors were chosen by the person these are being gifted to and I believe the blue is limited edition that was included in my Spring Taster box this year.

Made on my flatbed knitting machine using intarsia. I created the charts on Stitchfiddle.

I’m fairly recent to knitting. Completely self taught through YouTube, I’ve done a t-shirt (which didn’t turn out great), and now I’m working on the Fabian Sweater from Isager.

I think I still need to improve my M1R and M1L (especially regarding tension), but I would love to get your opinion on the progress so far.

Yes I know the purls are twisted :’) I didn’t at the time, this is my first knitting project but I know how to fix it in the future! Made with 100% icelandic wool (alafosslopi) and the modified mary maxim pattern

An update to my previous post asking for input on colors for ribbing on my rainbow entrelac sweater! I appreciate all of the feedback everyone shared, it was really helpful. I tried a few things, did a few swatches, but ultimately landed on green with a pop of pink - I think it balances it out well. 😊

I did make some mods, including shortening both the body and sleeves, because the pattern is quite oversized! Mods are documented in my ravelry project if anyone is interested!

Going to my best friends’ sibling’s wedding and my buddy has a 9 month old who will be the ring bearer. I half jokingly mentioned knitting a baby tuxedo to my friend, looked to see if there was an easy/free pattern, and here we are.. I still need to wash/block it, but look how freakin cute!

Hello everyone, I’m currently clearing my loft space out and I have so much wool it’ll take me 3 lifetimes to use it all lol. I’d like to help someone, or multiple people out. I’ve got tonnes of dk in different materials, some random skeins of mohair and things like that and some really quirky one-offs that I’ve never seen before. I just ask that you cover postage. UK only 🤗

I'm a very monogamous knitter. If I start a project I can't bring myself to start a new wip until the first one is finished. However, this inevitably makes every project feel like a slog by the time I reach sleeve island. Which is a bummer! I try to remind myself to enjoy the process of knitting instead of just wanting the finished product. But boredom inevitably sets it. Can you please unlock the thought process behind having multiple wips!!?!! The idea of having options of what to work on seems great. But I can't help but think that I'll never have any FO/get overwhelmed with so many things to complete.

I feel like my knitting production is slow because of said monogamy and feelings of slog. But I can't get past thinking nothing will ever get finished with multiple things going.

I taught myself to knit over Christmas holiday last year, and this is my first project!! I actually finished knitting it in April, and have moved on to other projects, but finally knit in the floats and blocked it this weekend, so I’m posting the finished piece.

I am SOOOO proud of this!! I feel like it’s quite an advanced piece, that allowed me to learn so much. It was like knitting boot camp for a bit there: blood, sweat, and tears… and the frogging, I tell you!! There was actually a point where I thought I would turn it into a hat. Literally. Instead I put it away for 2 weeks, sucked a big breath in, then frogged it and redid it.

I got fancy and modified the pattern by adding a turtleneck, adjusted upwards/raised the height of the sleeves based on other reviews of the pattern; and added the extra pattern as a border on the lower torso. I dropped needle sizes too, because I expected the yarn to stretch.

It’s malabrigo rio, and you can see a little growth before vs after blocking. I’m super happy with the fit. I actually really like the color pooling in the gray torso. I’ve made friends with knitting and I’m unafraid to tackle any projects now.

I’m super happy to finally be able to share this finished project! ❤️
