I'm very proud of how much I've improved the past year

and yes I draw a lot of Nintendo stuff lol

I used default paint brushes for colour base and Memileo brushes for textures.

Hi I am new to krita and I encountered a problem which causes my progress slowed down. I am using wired drawing tablet and I am drawing on my laptop.

When i was still sketching, im not sure what button i pressed and suddenly “do you want to save” prompt shows up but after i saved it it kicks me out from my current canvas.

When i re-entered my canvas, all of my layers was merged. Theres no original copy in my galery.

I have not finished my flat colors i am so sad 😭

can someone tell me what button did i pushed that resulted this so i can avoid it nextime?

or better, is it possible to retrieve the un-merged canvas?

I'm planning to draw a manga one-shot and I've been experimenting with lineart and halftones. I recorded most of the lineart/halftone process for this illust. Let me know what you're interested in!

Some ideas I already have:

• textured gradient tone
• enlarging lineart 2x (I draw at 300PPI but manga art is usually 600PPI)
• digital "tone scraping"
• custom shoujo bubbles

The question, lately I have been drawing a lot on paper and I am switching fully to Krita, are there any brushes for both lineart and coloring (but especially lineart) that fit the mid 2000s anime aesthetic?

(Like chobits, early Higurashi, elfen lied and that kind of stuff)

Did my first sketch on the new tablet, I know it isn't perfect, but it was fun. Any advice or tips? I have the recording from start to finish, so if people think there is a better process or anything. I will probably most the timelapse of the finished line working next.

I'm a bit confused on how to do a more simplistic animation on krita, i was mainly looking for a "animation brushes starter pack", does anyone more experienced with the program has any to recomend ?

Since 5.3, every text I add to images in Krita appears, by default, with background-color stroke. I can't turn this off for the life of me, and I would really like to. Any hints?
