Chance Me 173 3.86 T14 Chances

Upvotes

hello, I was wondering how my chances are for t14 schools. I am the stereotypical 1 yr WE as a paralegal, and I graduated from Princeton. I have a strong preference for California and New York, so aside from Columbia Stanford UCLA etc. I was thinking about the UCs, USC, Fordham. Is the best strategy in this case to blanket apply to all the t14s and the targets? Or should I practice a little more discretion since that would be over 15+ apps. Was also wondering how much lenience there is for my GPA being slightly below median.

Application Process Michigan personalized fee waiver letter with booklet?

Did anyone else receive a signed letter in the mail with a personalized note and info booklet? Seriously would like to know Michigan’s recruiting budget bc I’m shocked. Props to their team though; the booklet is beautiful and convinced me to apply!

General I recently earned enough credits for my bachelor degree, however, I just learned that my college has not conferred my degree yet. Would it be possible to take more classes to raise my lsac gpa?

Yeah basically the title. Would this be a smart decision, or is it even possible? Would I be able to enroll in a school that does A+ grades for the sole purpose of raising my gpa? And if I wanted to do that does that mean I wouldn't be able to apply to law schools for this cycle as well? Advice greatly appreciated, I really don't know how anything works and lsac rules seem really arbitrary and convoluted to me. Also worth noting that about half or more of my credits are from dual enrollment which won't count towards my gpa next cycle... It would be about 3.4x. counting dual enrollment and 3.7x without dual enrollment, but would it be worth it to take the time to raise my gpa?

Application Process How to pick a Law School Admission Coach/consultant

Hi! I need help finding a reliable law school admission coach/consultant. I have a low lsac gpa 2.9 (because my cc college gpa brought me down), I recently got my august lsat back which was a 157, but I think I’m gonna need help framing myself as a good candidate to law school. I’m from NY so I would preferably want to stay here.

I’m a first gen so it’s been hard navigating college and now wanting to go to law school. I think I made many mistakes, but I did put my best effort once I transferred from my community college and figured out what I wanted to do.

If anyone has any good recs pls lmk :)

General Hope from a 1L

I wanted to come on here (first time poster) to give a little motivation to those who might be freaking out and doubting everything right now.

Around this time last year, I broke down because after spending an entire summer studying for the LSAT, I wasn’t raising my score as much as I’d hoped (I only increased 1 pt from baseline the first time I took it, but ended up taking it again and raising it another 3 pts). I was second guessing my plans to apply to reach schools because I wasn’t even at the 25th percentile. I didn’t think it’d be worth the time, money, and mental energy of applying to schools I didn’t have a chance of getting into. I literally deleted schools from my list, considering my decisions made.

Thankfully, I had some wonderful voices of encouragement reassuring me that my LSAT wasn’t everything and convinced me to add the schools back.

In the end, of the 8 T14s I applied to, I got accepted into 7 and waitlisted at 1. And of the 7, I got full-ride offers at 3. I can now happily say I’m enjoying my first semester on a full-ride at one of those schools that I originally deleted from my list. I’m so beyond thankful for the people who told me to not doubt myself.

So to anyone out there who’s second guessing if you should apply or not— DO IT! You can’t be the one to wreck your own chances for no reason other than fear or insecurity. Self-doubt is a killer and it almost got me. And even if you don’t get in, at least you didn’t give up your belief in yourself.

y’all got this <3

Application Process Can someone translate prelaw to premed for me?

My BF is prelaw and I am trying to understand the requirements because I am his "Reddit Ambassador" and these subreddits have been super helpful for me when applying but I only know premed terms

For example for premed you need like a 3.5 and 500 MCAT (the median) at the bare minimum for DO and like a 3.7 / 510 for like MD. For a T10 med school tho you need a 520+. You also need all the prereqs and for extra curriculars you need like 200 hours of clinical hours and volunteering, but more is better, and research is recommended. You need like 40 ish hours of shadowing too.

What would this be for law school? GPA, LSAT? T14 vs non T14? What are the extra curricular expectations like?

Application Process WashU Website Application

It seems that WashU's website application doesn't request CAS reports. Does anybody have insight into how they consider GPA from uploaded transcripts? Do they recalculate them on the CAS scale?

Chance Me 3.96 GPA, 172 LSAT

3.96 UGPA, 4.0 masters GPA in a business field (I know doesn’t count, but helpful context maybe). 172 LSAT and one year of work experience in an advisory role as of today, will be two when I matriculate. Completed six internships in college in accounting/finance roles. Held several leadership positions in college and have a multi-year consistent volunteering experience. LGBTQ+ and first-gen.

My hopes are T14.

Application Process Really struggling with my essays

Like the caption says, I have had a tough time writing my essays. I am wondering how long on average everyone has spent finishing their final essays for PS, DS, and smaller 200-250 word supplementals. Thanks!

Application Process UW Law JurisPath 2027 Applicants

I haven’t been able to find much discussion about UW JurisPath, so I figured I’d start a thread for those of us applying for Fall 2027.

I submitted 9/1 and am now anxiously waiting 😂. If anyone else applied this cycle, I’d love to compare timelines and get a general idea of the pool.

I’ll start: 4.0 UGPA, nontraditional applicant, current grad student with legal internship and research experience. Submitted 9/1.

Mostly hoping we can use this as a place to update each other because there seems to be almost no JurisPath info out there!

Application Process UGA Law Supplemental Essays

Please help!

I can't find any examples of the UGA Law optional career statements. For anyone that wrote one/knows anything about them: roughly how long should one be, how should it be formatted, how personal/casual or professional should one be?

Clearly, I'm overthinking it, so any tips would be much appreciated.

Application Process Next-Step-Admissions PS Review

If anyone is looking for help reviewing their personal statement, Next-Step-Admissions was incredible!

He has been commenting on a lot of posts offering a free first review/consultation. I shared my draft with him and he was absolutely incredible. Not only did he respond to my draft just a few hours after I sent it, but he also promptly set up a Zoom meeting for the next day.

During the meeting, we discussed my applications overall including my GPA, LSAT, school list, and softs, and then went through my personal statement line by line. He gave me specific recommendations, pointed out my strengths and weaknesses, and helped me understand exactly what I needed to improve.

We ended the meeting with a very clear path for what I should do next, and there was absolutely no sales pitch, which I really appreciated.

His Reddit username is Next-Step-Admissions, and I’d be happy to share his email through chat if anyone is interested!

Chance Me Lower STEM gpa?

Hi all, I am a software engineer that is starting to consider applying to law school. For top schools I am seeing how high the median gpa is and am wondering if any grace is given for students coming from a STEM background. I received a 3.6 gpa from Stanford University while studying computer science. Provided I score very high on the LSAT would I still have a chance at some T14s?

Application Process YLS Class of 2029 KJD Offering Cheap Statement/Supplemental/Resume Review (for KJD applicants especially!)

Can't believe 2027 applications are right around the corner! This time last year, I was pulling my hair trying to figure out how to frame my experiences (or lack thereof) to the T-14 law schools. After months of meticulous editing and review, I was fortunate enough to receive a full-tuition scholarship to YLS and several other T-14s (proof upon DM request).

It has changed my entire life, and I'd love to help some other prospective applicants achieve their dreams for a price that won't break the bank!

On the qualifications side, I was not rejected by a single T-14 (though I withdrew from a few after accepting the offer from YLS), and I served as a writing tutor for my t40 undergrad. Frankly, treating my comments with discretion is the best method for great results.

$30 for a full review of 1 essay and $15 for resume advice (formatting + presenting part-time/extracurricular experiences).

Good luck to all this cycle!

WashU’s application is supposed to be available today, but I get a message that there isn’t an active term available when I go to apply.

Does anyone have any clue why the application has been delayed?

Chance Me 158 lsat 3.88 gpa, targeting privacy and tech law

I got a 158 LSAT and a 3.88 gpa (Information Systems Major) Worked as a privacy analyst and a legal ops associate.

I am interested in Santa Clara, Chicago-Kent, and any other suggestions. The rising 2026 lsat medians at law school got me discouraged. What are y’all’s thoughts.

Application Process Apply now?

I have a 163 LSAT and 3.96 GPA with decent extracurriculars and legal experience. I am registered for the September LSAT next week but am burnt out and have not done LSAT prep since my August test. Do I apply now or take September with hope of getting lucky and apply in October?

Application Process Question about letters of recommendation

If I assign a letter of recommendation to a school but the recommender has not submitted the letter yet, can I still submit my application and have the application updated with the new letter?
