How can i continue learning arabic?

What’s the best way to learn Arabic? I need some tips.

I’ve already taken a course where I learned the alphabet and a few basics, like pronouns and so on. Now that the course is over, I want to continue learning arabic from home. I’d like to learn Arabic—specifically the Syrian dialect, if possible. My husband is a native speaker, but unfortunately, he’s a terrible teacher. 😅

What would you recommend? I’ve tried Duolingo and Busuu, but they haven’t really helped me at all.

I’m not sure if it’s better to just start by learning individual words. Busuu teaches whole sentences, but they often include difficult new words that I just can’t seem to memorize. I really just want to learn Arabic so I can communicate with my husband’s family.

I understand only a little when we visit them.

I thought I’d chuck this in here and see what people think. I’ve been building a platform called Lulu to help children and adults improve their Arabic reading. The idea is that you read a story out loud, and Lulu listens and gives feedback on pronunciation, difficult letters, words and eventually things like incorrect harakat. It will also have a library of Arabic books organised by reading level and track what you struggle with over time. I started building it because I felt there wasn’t really an Arabic equivalent of the reading apps available for English learners. Would this be something you or your kids would actually use? What do you guys think?

Hi all! I have been looking online but can't seem to find anything in person. I would be fine with an individual teacher as well, I am just wanting to learn. I'm Palestinian/American and I was always sad that I was never taught Arabic. If anyone has any leads on this, I would really appreciate the help!

I would really like to learn in person, but if there is a teacher who feels strongly that they could help me I would be open to discussion. I learned some Fusha in school, a little bit of Levantine from my dad and family, and some Khaleeji slang from my friends growing up, so I might be a bit challenging as a student.

Hi. Lately there's been an idea wandering my mind since I rediscovered the Arabic language. To make things short I discovered it months ago and rediscovered it last week and fell even more in love that I had fallen previously on its grammar and sound and everything.

The question of this post comes mainly from the languages I bear and if Arabic would be a good idea or should I abandon it. I speak Spanish as a native, english, french and the basis of german. Currently I'm pouring my efforts on achieving the B2 in french and when done focus on german to master it. Everything was going well but Arabic stepped in and... I love it as well.

I love languages and wonder if adding this one would be as useful as maintaining the other 4 fluent by different output techniques.

The other thing that concerns me (as far as I've read) is learning fusha, fusha+dialect or simply a dialect. Due to being next to the north coast of Africa I've considered magreb dialect but it's also not as understood by other Arabic dialects unless fusha comes in. Besides that I don't know for what else Fusha could be useful for me.

Don't know if leave it or wait until having enough time to learn it well and surpass the initial barrier if grammar and its alphabet (great, picturesque and marvelous btw) or simply drop it if my combination of languages is enough, tho I'd miss Arabic I guess.
