The stop, play and record buttons as well as the navigation buttons next to them. They send messages fine but it's received as notes, so I hear high music notes when I press them.

I want to use these buttons in Reaper or just anywhere, like maybe I can trigger a script that records current computer audio when I press the record button. Is there anything like that anywhere, any script I can write maybe?

Internet says I could monitor aseqdump and run something when specific buttons are pressed. Wondering if there's anything already available on Linux to configure what the buttons do. TIA
