Azula and Jade really enjoying that natural sun and the view from their basking shelf. Jade, on the top shelf, is a male jeweled lacerta while Azula on the bottom shelf is a female jeweled lacerta.

They're not agressive tho. When caught, most of them prefer to play dead (tanatosis or smth). They're very quick lizards, i needed to make a ambush while a friend distracted him with insects.

I've seen large males.. but this one is the second largest i've ever caught, only losing to a 13 cm Snout-vent length male i observed for almost a year in my Backyard.

Found him in a public space. Need know-how to handle it ASAP.

Yeah, that's a solifuge (sun spider, camel spider, wind scorpion) that she's chowing down on! She apparently found it under the leaf litter and gulped it right down, head first. Fun fact: I know it's a female because, well, they are ALL female! This is a hybrid triploid species, and there are no males. Save for when they occasionally hybridize with male Six-lined Racerunners, they reproduce by parthenogenesis.

We see these guys around the apartment complex grounds all the time, and I finally caught one (it had wandered into an entry way, so I helped it get out of there)

This is my mate, I named him Albert. I was hoping some of you lizard lovers could explain his behaviour to me.

He scales the trees and walls to climb onto my balcony. I assume it is a nice, warm, sunny spot. He bobs his head at me, looks at me both front and side on. He watches me work from the desk next to this glass door when I work from home. Sometimes he sits on my balcony furniture.

I live on the third floor of an apartment complex with no water features. I live on a main road in an urban area, the nearest waterway is about 1-2kms away (but there are busways, four lane roads, and heavy urbanisation between here and there).

My understanding is these guys need plenty of access to water. How is bro doing so well living next to one of the busiest roads in my city?

I don't want to feed him or interfere with him at all, but he is very curious about me. Sometimes he sticks his whole face and body up against the door. He has been more active since my dog passed away, but my dog was sixteen and blind, so he had no awareness of Albert/never noticed or barked at him. Has bro always been curious, but too scared to come say hi because of my dog?

I was outside putting air in my tires when I saw this on the tree. We have them everywhere but I've never seen one this big. They're usually small enough to fit their body in my hand, but this one is huge.

This lizard is about the size of a gecko, but its tail looks like a squirrel or chipmunk. Flicking its tail upward. It also has a red throat flair. Southwest Florida. The only thing I've found online is about squirrels eating lizards. Thank you in advance.
