hii, I was walking on campus today and found this jacket on the floor. it was right by the mosaic outside near the hotdog man. I dropped it off in the lost and found bucket at schulich. (I would’ve gone to the lost and found area in burnside but the librarian told me they wouldn’t accept clothing)

here’s a picture if this is urs!! hope u get it back soon :)

Are classes allowed to have out-of-pocket costs that weren’t communicated before the first class?

I am wondering this for COMP370/570 as this (~$120) would be a financial strain for me. :(

Also, does anyone know why undergrads are straight up not allowed to take 570? (Never got a response from Nicholas the Student Affairs Coordinator)

is this course real...? On Minerva it's cap15 and 11 remaining, and on MyCourses there is nothing. The prof is not responding to my emails. I just registered for it, i'm super interested in the subject but like what is happening, is it going to be cancelled? Has anyone taken it before?

I'm considering taking GEOG 221 as an elective and was wondering if anyone is currently in the class or has taken it before. How is the workload and difficulty, is it graded with tests or papers (what is the grading breakdown) ?

GEOG408 vs 409

Which one would people recommend? I’m currently in 409 but I don’t love the weekly reading responses+multiple projects, and I was thinking of getting a seatalert for 408 instead to potentially join it as it seems a bit easier and more interesting. Does anyone have experience with either one? Is the research proposal project in 409 as hard/as much work as it sounds?

I realize these are very different courses, but I am trying to choose 2 out of the 3. Which ones are easiest in terms of workload and/or grading (assuming I have no background in economics)?

Honours economics math prerequisites

Hi, I’m a U1 student in the honours economics program and this is my first semester in McGill. I was in cegep and there I did calculus 1 and 2 and linear algebra in the commerce program (social science). I was told I had to take math 140, 141 and 133 which are basically calculus 1, 2 and linear algebra. So I’m basically being told that I have to redo these courses because apparently the ones I took in cegep are not equivalent to the ones I will have to take. I had already registered for math 222 which is calculus 3 because I didn’t know I had to retake my previous math courses. Also all of the advisors are super unclear about what I should do it’s almost like they’re telling me “retake them if you want”. Has anybody been in this situation?? Do I have to take these math courses or can I skip to math 222?
