I wouldn’t say I loved it but I definitely think it got more hate than it deserved, especially once they fixed the worst of the bugs. I often wish we could see what kind of game we would have gotten if they didn’t waste the first four years trying to make procedurally generated planets work and then crammed most of the actual game development into the last year.
I'll die on the hill of really wanting a sequel to MEA, because I think the setup, story, and cliffhanger is much more interesting than the OG series'.
It was put on the back burner to focus on Dragon Age: The Veilguard which bombed spectacularly and led to a bunch of layoffs at the studio. Now, its parent company (EA) is owned by the Saudis who will more than likely look to do further major cuts.

Mass Effect universe is toast
