Single user getting random SSO failure

EDIT: Seems to be working for the user today.

We have multiple users that SSO into one of our vendor applications using O365 but one user in particular gets the attached error. We have confirmed the user is set to use Edge as their default browser and that Edge is fully up-to-date. Not sure where this is coming from as the sign in logs in Entra don't show any failures.

We still get this with fully updated Edge as well.

It just seems to "fix itself" after a while.

That is exactly what happened. Had the user try again today and it is working. Wonky...

Found the solution.

Register the user with 2FA - we use the Authenticator app - and it then works.

We use DUO as External MFA in O365. However, MS is trying to push Authenticator on us. We have disabled user use of Authenticator from policy and turned off all MS MFA campaigns. Wish they would stop pushing it on us.
