Why is she refrigerating them?

With that amount of lemons, it's probably better too. They will last longer in the fridge, even if they can be kept out at room temperature. At least it'll prevent them from drying out rock solid.

Source: Work in a restaurant, and have also had my mom bring home 100 lemons for no reason.

Fun fact..best way to keep lemons fresh is submerged in water. I’ve made lemons last a month that way.

They’re gonna need the whole bathtub for this.

They last a month on the fridge anyway. Longer if properly sealed. And far longer in the freezer.

Putting them in water is unnecessary at best, and potentially damaging the fruit (they will absorb water and/or lose nutrients)

Submerged in water is the way. Prevents them from drying out for longer than if just refrigerated.

Instructions unclear. Lemons rotted on the counter. I am wrinkly.
