Thanks for being the only one actually providing an answer to OP’s predicament.

I just had lemon ramen tonight with fresh herbs. So refreshing. Lemon-based anything is great because our temps are still sky-high (at least where I live).

To add to what you said, lemon can also be used for cleaning. Run the rinds through the sink disposal. Use a lemon half with rough salt as an abrasive cleaner for kitchens and bathrooms. Make a furniture polish with lemon and oil (lots of recipes online).

There’s also a shit ton of skincare recipes that use lemons.

I love lemons. Still curious wtf went through OP’s mom’s head tho

Yes! You can get it chilled or hot. Hot is better. A clear lemony broth with glistening dots of oil on top. The oil balances the acidity so you end up with a mild but bright flavor from the lemon. I had mizuna (Japanese mustard greens) as a topping.

Have you ever had avgolemono (Greek lemon chicken orzo soup)? It’s kind of like that, but where avgolemono is a warm blanket, lemon ramen is a silky summer shawl.

You know, I think I’ve actually had lemon ramen or yuzu ramen, now that I’m thinking of it. There was a vegan ramen that had that acidity to it somewhere in the Bay Area.

And avgolemono is also an excellent idea for what to do with lemons.
