Ruined by Technology Somebody posted an AI version of my art...

Less than 10 hours ago I posted a piece of fan art I'd made, and have just came across it on Facebook - where someone had put an AI filter over it šŸ˜‘

That lllliiiilllliillli psychopath made 10 different accounts to harass OP, lie about their artwork, agree with themselves, and spam reports and mod mail trying to get OP banned. I absolutely guarantee they are the AI Facebook kid. Be sure to report them and their many accounts for Ban Evasion. Hopefully the admins will platform ban all their accounts and we'll be plagued with 1 less slimeball.

ETA: Up to 12 accounts now. Still making more and spamming replies to this comment & more mod mail. Moron doesn't realize these new account spams are getting auto-blocked by Reddit's Crowd Control system šŸ¤¦

People have been doing this with license plates, presumably to increase the chances a cop or red light camera giving them a ticket will get their plate wrong which avoids them having to pay it? It just comes across as a stupid person thinking theyā€™re clever, but even moreso in an online space where you can ban the person without even looking at their handle. This kidā€™s a dipshit lol.

I think itā€™s because Flock cameras are run by AI, which garbles the shit out of the plate reading most of the time, so making your plate unreadable gibberish makes it more likely itā€™ll misread it. There have already been a few high-profile incidents of cops showing up and arresting people at their houses with ā€œ100% certaintyā€ those people were caught on the flock camera doing something, and then actual review showed the AI got the shit wrong.

This kind of username (IilliIliI) makes it harder for people to report/find because a lot of fonts used donā€™t distinguish between lowercase L (l) uppercase i (I). This lind of username doesnā€™t necessarily mean itā€™s this guy, more of like an anonymous name while still being obnoxious

this format exists in multiple games where you have to type a username to file a ban and this kind of username (barcode) makes it significantly harder to do so.

They used to do IP bans when people would pull this kind of stuff. But, I suppose that's something only Reddit admins can do, not admins of subs.

IP Bans are worthless in so many countries. At least in 3 countries I know that they rotate IPs every 24ā€“72 hours. So an IP-ban would only last that long effectively.

Browser-Fingerprinting is another way to do it, more reliable and robust, but that gets only weaker over time with how security-focused people are finally becoming

I dunno. Something seems fishy to me.

So in the space of just 10 hours OP posted their art to r-hitman.

Then someone stole it, put it through AI and posted it to facebook.

Then by chance OP discovered the AI version on facebook and posted it here.

AND THEN the AI thief discovered THIS thread and made all of these accounts and cranked up the drama?

If I had to put money on it I'd guess that all of the people involved are the same person, or at the very least friends, and this whole drama is manufactured.

EDIT: ...and what's more, this thread was posted at 6:13 my time and there's a comment saying "OP, I think that IIIIIIIIII guy thinks you made this up." that was posted at 6:39!

In other words, this IIIIIIIIII guy must have commented a bunch before that comment so he must have "discovered" this thread just ~10-20 minutes after it was first posted???????
