Currently fixing my belt drive on my ped.

What is this wire/string

Remove the clutch/vario. Remove all the left over strings from the broken belt. Install a new belt and your good to go.

Also, you seem to have a scooter there, not a moped. I might be wrong tho, i dont see the entire thing

If you know the dimensions of your belt, look up "the v belt guys" website, they make belts of all sizes, thats where i got the one on my kinetic moped

The string us like the base for the belt which the rubber is then built upon

Belts are not just made of rubber. They used to be only made of cotton. Then they molded rubber over the cotton to give it some more grip. Then they switched from cotton to other fibers, like Dacron and kevlar for more strength. Fibers for the structure and tensile strength, rubber for the friction against the pulley.
