I Have a Question / I need Help FF Booster Box

I bought Final Fantasy player booster box tailored for a draft when it was released....

Had no chance to give it a shot yet and now I'm wondering whether to keep as "an investment" so to try to sell it in the future. I checked the current prices but it doesnt seem to have gone up in any meaningful way.

Would you keep it or just organize a draft? - in which case id be tempted to build some jumpstart pack from the contents for future replayability :)

The right answer is to always organise a draft. Play boosters aren't really for anything other than to play with.

I bought one as my re-entry point a few months ago. Loved opening it since I just love FF and all the details and art. Helped me build a super solid collection to use for constructing Commander Decks to play with my friends. Never been a draft guy. Probably because I started as a kid and drafting just wasn’t a thing for me.

Just draft it. I kept a box of Modern Horizons 2 sealed for almost two years thinking it would spike, and the price barely moved. Eventually cracked it with friends at a barbecue and that night was way more fun than the 30 bucks profit I would have made.

The jumpstart idea is clever, never thought of that. After the draft you can separate the cards by color and make little packs with a theme for each, becomes like a board game you replay whenever.

Cardboard is for playing, not sitting in a closet. Unless you bought a case and can forget about it for 5 years, one box is not changing your life.

Draft it, it is a standard edition of a standard set with theoretically unlimited reprints for the next 2 years. If you want an investment put money in the stock market.

CBBs are a different story but this is a great limited set and very fun set to draft.

The price will go up eventually, but a handful of boxes of cardboard aren't really a good investment. 5 years from now you'll see Final Fantasy Play go for $300 per box and say "damn, I could have sold that" but would it really have been worth it?

Just crack it with friends.
