Hi everyone! I am really indecisive right now, but the theme for my spring concert solo is like "Over The Rainbow" So if anyone could help me pick out a song, I’d be delighted and grateful!

Basically i have to sing a solo song according to that theme and since its "Over The Rainbow", My solo song has to have ideas that are like colorful and happy and stuff

I'm desperately looking for songs that feel like Istanbul (Not Constantinople), specifically the version by They Might Be Giants. Going for both vibes and beat.

Hey everyone, I’m a playwright and I am looking for some suggestions to help me build my next play. I’m looking for something that is dirty. I’d like a slower song that feels muddy or industrially sludgy. Words are not needed. The music would be to inspire an interpretive dance revolving around sex. Think like Mac’s dance from Always Sunny In Philadelphia style dance.

Sail by Awolnation has a good beat, the music is dirty sounding, and is a contender.

The Day the World Went Away by Nine Inch Nails has a nice vibe, but not exactly what I’m looking for.

Lose Control by Teddy Swims is nice, but not dirty/gritty sounding enough.

I’ve been in charge of making a playlist for my college’s event: Global Street Fair, where they’re bringing in foods from different cultures. I had a playlist of songs from around the world and I mentioned it to my supervisor and he said “Cool! That sounds like something we could use for our Global Street Fair event. Could you send it to me and I can take a look to see if we can use it?” Of course I said “Sure!” Because I love sharing music from around the globe that I love. Problem is, most of the songs are ballads or slower songs, and our events usually call for more upbeat stuff. I have some upbeat songs in there, but I feel like there could be more. Thank you so much (Please keep the recs as clean as possible if you can 🙏❤️).

i really like the saw at the end of The Commercial Nude by Sprain (min 9:00 to the end) and at the end of Motherfucker, I am Both: "Amen" and "Hallelujah"... by Shearling (min 56:20).

there's something about both of these instances that i adore. i think its how the saw in both of these comes in after really heavy guitars and vocals, and its like a resting point. i also like how well it goes with the piano in The Commercial Nude.

anything similar? doesnt have to be the same genre but maybe something with the same vibes. thank you
