I'd live in that. Just, not with anyone else.

yeah, pretending four people living in that for any prolonged amount of time without killing each other is slightly disingenuous.

Judging by the size of that garage alone, I would just assume that they will use that camper van on like two separate weeks a year.

One rainy day and it's turning into a mini Overlook Hotel.

The thing that is always missing from these Van Life videos is the reality of the exhaustion of being on the road. It can really beat you down after a bit. Most folks just quit.

My neighbors are kind of nomadic people. Before the settled downa bit and bought a house on our street, they lived in a van that was probably a little smaller than that with two young boys and a dog. Roamed the US for about about 2 years doing that. They are very happy people.

Yeah my reaction was "Looks cool... oh he has a wife/gf, ok that still cool... wait, they have 2 kids? holy shit that looks uncomfortable as fuck"

Lmao same! Everyone here hating and pocketwatching but im just thinking holy shit that must be a nightmare with 2 kids in a small van. But judging based off the last shot they arent exactly in the middle of no where and are probably staying at that cabin which is what I would do too lol.

I’d go insane with two babies…

Especially with kids who still need car seats. Feels cruel to strap them into that all day long so often.

Especially with kids who still need car seats.

and a standard education and social needs through schools. The kids imprisoned in these vehicles are almost always homeschooled and the mileage varies(mostly bad)

And unless that bench moves, the kids are not safe in those car seats anyway because every car seat manual I’ve ever seen has explicitly stated that they are not to be installed on sideways or rear facing seats.

Seems weird to assume they do.

The car seats are visible in the final tour, right before they move up to the poptent on the roof.

Yeah I saw their kids, but you assume they live in it.

Why?

I'm not "assuming." Again, it's the visible car seats that made me think the kids will sit in car seats in the van home their parents built. Why do you think it absurd to infer that the kids live where the parents live?

Assuming they live there.......

The parents literally tell us this is their primary residence. How do you get smug about missing very clear information from the video you just watched??? Do you often feel proud of being ignorant?

0

u/Umlunguboy420 9h ago

I've seen the video they literally don't say that.

You ok bro?

Do you know what "home" means?

Yeah. Probably doable by yourself, iffy for a couple- you're either going to end up closer than ever or splitting up. But with two kids? That's borderline abuse.

You don't want an audience while you shit?

u/SignoreBanana 15h ago

Yeah, it doesn't really work with a family. We had a really nice setup but still just too cramped.

1

u/Beastmind 15h ago

Yeah when I saw the 2 children I thought that was fucked up. Like with just the 2 of the couple it would be scramming but with 2 child's? Wtf

wife and I lived in one for a year and it was great. Kids would never work in it though.

Oh yeah. Notice how you have to have your legs out when in the toilet? So no privacy.

The billionaires want all of us to have one as our primary residence.
