Why are so many people so miserable?

Have you not been paying attention?

I’m just now realizing how many people are so miserable, everywhere. It’s quite enlightening

u/The_0ven 2h ago

Welcome to the party pal

u/Lucky_Pangolin_3760 3h ago

I wonder why hmm. What is possibly happening in the world that causes people to become irrationally angry

0

u/ThisOtterBehemoth 1h ago

They are not irrational. You just happen to not understand what they do :D

u/Heiferoni 12h ago

Probably on account of the skyrocketing housing costs, fuel prices, utility prices, grocery prices... Ya know, just some light runaway inflation with no relief in sight.

When the peasants are struggling to keep a roof over their head, you'll forgive them for resenting the wealthy for flaunting their expensive toys

-3

u/dracostheblack 12h ago

How dare they make a living converting vans into camper vans!? They should live in squaler for solidarity!

10

u/Heiferoni 11h ago

Hey man, I don't have a dog in the race lol. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Seems like you can't follow a conversation. What OP "called" has absolutely nothing to do with the people in this video. OP was explaining why other people are annoyed at these kinds of videos. It's completely irrelevant whether the people in the video are making a living by making content. What in the actual fuck has that got to do with explaining why OTHER PEOPLE are angry about it .. ?

so you just got hoodwinked by an ad...lol good luck in the future.

EDIT: dracostheblack replied to me three times on three different comments within a minute of each other. Creeper WEIRDO! Must have really struck a nerve. haha

Or people are turning into little babies

6

u/DIABLO258 5h ago

You're a people too you know lol

2

u/Fozzymandius 8h ago

I make good money and even I get it. Just doing normal middle class stuff from 40 years ago requires a high income.

2

u/Loborin 5h ago

We don't have any money.

2

u/ToughHardware 3h ago

because of wealth disparity and corporate greed. hence the comments.

2

u/Lucky_Pangolin_3760 3h ago

yeah well when someone can spend my life savings on a quirky project it doesn't exactly feel great

2

u/vityoki 2h ago edited 2h ago

for example I locked in the same flat and 4 walls in Kyiv for the last 4 years, and also now without a job, also bothered being without a girlfriend. and I lost all my 9 years savings 4 years ago trying to buy a flat there, but they froze the building, and didnt return money what else to add? and many of my groupmates have their family, living in other countries, and even have children. me in my almost 35 I have 3k mmr in dota, and some savings which Im spending on waiting for the next fulltime job.

u/BadNameGenerator 51m ago

3k is good dude. Or it was when I played. Who are your mains?

2

u/ThisOtterBehemoth 1h ago

Well, Reddit has become something else. A post like this would've never reached frontpage years ago... While their upgrade of the van is cool it's nothing special since it's their profession. Soo... This is an ad... Now tell me, do you love ads that are not marked as such? Is your perception still cool? What's miserable again?

People living in cars out of necessity are resentful of people who do it for fun.

Homelessness wears on you.

But yes some people are just rude.

13

u/TheVandyyMan 16h ago

Wait till the homeless people living in tents find out about camping. They’re going to be pissed.

9

u/Ok-Releases 15h ago

Did every person living in a car out of necessity just converge onto this post at the same exact time or something?

Because holy shit this whole comment section is raging.

u/abbaziadicefalu 15h ago edited 14h ago

Very possibly.

On the east coast, it’s just about bed time for restaurant / service industry workers.

Almost every one of our kitchen staff is either lifeboating or living in roomshares.

The average rent / utilities here would be roughly 75-80% of our wages.

Housing is just truly fucked in some places.

A lot of people stay up ‘homeless posting’.

u/Most-Club-254 13h ago

Because nothing you watch here is relatable. This is not making a healthy burger at home with normal ingredients.

Or we must celebrate rich people doing things and be their simps?

9

u/Jdm783R29U3Cwp3d76R9 12h ago

This is their work? They convert vans as their full time job.

2

u/ThisOtterBehemoth 1h ago

Yes, but nobody would vote for this boring video... The votes are bought.

u/Jdm783R29U3Cwp3d76R9 6m ago

Let's assume that they are and it's part of their company marketing. So?

-5

u/NoPleaseDont 11h ago edited 10h ago

so this is an ad? you all just swallow everything with a shit eating grin on your face lol

EDIT: dracostheblack replied to me three times on three different comments within a minute of each other. Creeper WEIRDO! Must have really struck a nerve. haha

u/Jdm783R29U3Cwp3d76R9 5m ago

Kinda is? So what? I did not even watch it, I don't care about cars.

0

u/dracostheblack 11h ago

It's a great add! Smiled the whole time!

-1

u/Most-Club-254 10h ago

people simping for rich people and eat whatever they spit have no spine and must ensure everyone is simping too, so it doesn't look that much loser behavior

2

u/dracostheblack 8h ago

They're rich to own a business and convert vans? That's the American dream whose simping? We should be happy they made it.

2

u/Real_Tea_Lover 9h ago

who cares

if you had money would you not use it to do cool things

do they have to be miserable in solidarity

1

u/Cyssoo 11h ago

Cause many commenter are from the US.

1

u/DingleDonky 5h ago

More fun to be miserable online than to be nice lol

1

u/Moiyub 3h ago

number of dollers you have = number of happy you have

u/SwingLord420 24m ago

Loooooooool jfc

0

u/TequilaWolf0996 10h ago

it’s Reddit ofc people here are miserable

0

u/sonksenmusic 10h ago

Because most reddit users are young and most don't even feel like they have a glimmer of hope at ever owning a house one day, so seeing people spend money on what they see as frivolous is outraging to them.

Tiny homes and live in vans used to be a way for lower income bracket individuals to have comfortable living conditions but both of those things have turned into hobbies or special interests instead of necessities.

Honestly it's a fair indicator of our current affordability crisis.

0

u/GhormanFront 9h ago

Why are so many people so miserable?

Have you seen the state of geopolitics? How about the economy? Tried buying a house or a car lately?

Gee I wonder why people are pissed

2

u/dracostheblack 8h ago

Pissed about people converting camper vans? k...

0

u/Successful_Creme1823 7h ago

Before the internet they just wouldn’t have seen it

0

u/linds360 6h ago

I’ve all but quit commenting on Reddit because it’s just inviting a slew of negativity.

Yeah shit sucks, but being shitty to each other isn’t going to magically make guacamole safe to eat again.
