Pretty awesome as an adventure vehicle. Terrible if you are doing it to be the new trendy homeless.

Being homeless is only a "trend" because the rates are trending upward because the economy is such shit. These people are not rejecting society and they're not homeless. They just have too much money and like the idea of a cute, kitted out van instead of an RV and they have the means and time to make it a fun "project." They'll use this to take trips a few times a year and spend the rest of it in their very nice house.
