As a matter of fact : not really. A living person pay taxes and contribute to the economy. It's usually cheaper to reduce death rate than it is to let people die.

I'm considering that if you miss a huge train/tram coming at you, there is little chance you end up as a net positive in the economy of our species.Such a person lacks responsability and awareness I get what you are saying, a cremation costs 1000€ but that person you can heal for 5000€ will pay 50.000€ in the long term back trough taxes, but what are the chances the same person healed will cause damages beyond 50.000€ ? My guess is high chances.

In my country there was a lady that reached dementia in her 80's , tried to suicide once, doctors saved her, got agressive in the hospital, sent home.Soon after she "forgot" the gas stove on and due to lack of safety sensors and automatic valves the gas built up in over 6 apartments during the night , the result : 4 dead, 15 injured, a good part of the building ( like 3-4 apartments spead on 2+levels) collapsed and a lot of people placed in social homes till insurance pays the ones that had it, the other families are basically homeless just because some doctors helped a shell of a person keep a heart pumping enough to do something stoopid.

The event I remembered took place on 17 Oct. 2025 in Rahova Romania, I know a single event doesn't set a pattern, but in my own family I saw what happens when you try to give help to people that are beyond saving, and in my honest opinion a person that lacks the capacity too look left and right when crossing a street is beyond saving.

Edit.: Additional info worth considering, I like to provide my own point of view and arguing, sorry for annoying you but I liked your argunent and having this conversation gives me dopamine, honnestly I hope it's the same to you and I'm not just an annoyance.
