Got 2 broken switch lites for less than 20$. Both had broken screens, broken daughter board, non functioning power and volume board. The grey one had a broken front shell that doesnt hold the left joystick thats why I swapped it. The turquoise one had a broken main ribbon cable thats why the face buttons dont respond. Waiting for 2 fans to replace the dying ones.

Overall very fun and easy weekend project for me even without prior experience working on electronics. Total cost of repairs was way less than buying a new one. I already have a v1 switch so Im thinking of modding these. The son already claimed the turquoise.

At home we have 3 Switches, one regular and 2 lites. Today I realised that with Virtual cards you can only use two switches at a time, or you can turn on online licence. Is it possible to use it for the 3rd switch while the other 2 use virtual cards?

I actually have AC 2 Collection on cartridge, but cannot play Brotherhood on 3rd Switch after downloading it because the other 2 Switches have virtual card already enabled and paired.

I just purchased a Switch 2 yay ! But I still find myself picking up my lite here and there . It does feel more comfortable in my hands compared to the switch 2 .i mostly bought it so I could have friends over to play some fun games together .

I know what i want: Switch Lite 2 OLED with the enhanced sound and battery live.
Size must be the same, as in original Lite, it can be thicker for a bigger grips and battery. Must have the rumble motor and TRM sticks from factory.
Screen must be the size of a screen bezel of an original Lite (can be seen on photo).

Is that all? Or i'm missing something? 😁

I did a battery upgrade on my Lite and the shell ended up getting damaged, so I opted to try out a new color. I really like the Lime Green with the black buttons combo. Indoors it's kind of hard to see the color, but the second sunlight hits it it looks like it's glowing.

The battery is the SUPER5 VOLT from RetroRemake. After installing it I used the Battery Desync Fix NX app to get the real readings on the battery and it's now showing about 4,300 mah. It's advertised at 4,950 mah, so either I need to redo it or it's just smaller than advertised. Either way I do notice a bit more battery life out of my Lite.

Re-shell, hall effect joysticks, battery and super5 oled. This is my second one I have completed. Had a couple issues but all good in the end.

pretty crazy what the modding community can do it's running ok hopefully it gets more updates to get it more stable fps

My joysticks were starting to drift so I thought, why not do a re-shell on top of that.
After 2 hours of anxiety I am finally done. I’m so happy with how it looks. I chose the GameCube look because that was my first Nintendo and I thought the back was clever.

If you are clumsy and or can’t hold small things with out dropping it, I recommend the ifixit magnetic mat! It has a dry erase marker. It’s the only thing that kept me sane during this whole process.

Not my first Switch Lite, but this will probably replace my current one because of just how jam-packed and modded it is.

- Hall Effect Joysticks (not really sure if its true, since I can't really verify if it is, but its one of those ribbed ones you see in AliExpress? The seller has a ton of reviews and seems like a popular local modder of Nintendo Switches so I'll just take his word for it)

- Atomic Purple Shell from ExtremeRate

- Reddish Pink Custom Buttons and Triggers from some sketchy seller in AliExpress

- Newly replaced LCD Screen with Black Bezel (I have mixed feelings about this one, but its a good screen to have when I eventually reshell this to an all black unit with a black shell and black buttons)

- Picofly ModChip already Installed with 256GB SanDisk SD Card

I was honestly going to pass up on this one because I did not like the color of the buttons and shell combination, but it's kind of growing on me. All I need now is a flip case like the Original one from Nintendo or one of the third party ones like Genki. I also need to get another Switch Charger, since this Switch Lite didn't come with one.

I still kind of want to swap the buttons though, but I'm not confident enough in my skills to do that. Not having the right tools and thermal paste replacement is also a factor but you get what I mean.
