A word from your friendly neighborhood mod.
Greetings and salutations!
To clarify what happened: It appears that the sub got locked due to inactivity, and is now back in business.
If you're using an app, or the old reddit - you've probably missed a button that sent a request to become an approved submitter (I know I missed it).
Now everything should be back to normal.
Please feel free to post, discuss, share and promote your own stuff.
If you have any community suggestions (i.e. activities, polls, initiatives, or anything really) I encourage one and all to try and improve this already great sub.
Have fun!

looking for recs!
hi! i have never consciously listened by noise rock and i just signed up to this subreddit, but real love by big thief is one of my favourite songs ever and ive been told this is the genre it belongs to.
i especially love the guitar solo of that song, the way it goes from borderline unlistenable to absolutely cathartic and warm in the span of a minute. it's the contradiction that gets to me -- the noise part allows me to store energy and then the melodic part lets me release it.
what kind of artists would you reccomend to me, based on this information?

Noise Rock Jeopardy
If you can figure it out, figure it out using your head and not by interneting. Cheaters will have will be cursed with having their music intake reduced to the Dave Matthew’s Band for 1 year.

More songs like "Venus flytrap" by Cherubs, or "Waynes pet youngin'" by Ween?
Im looking for something fast paced, abrasive and full of distortion (preferably with weird/high pitched or drowned out vocals too)
