I just realized na possibleng maging sobrang laki ng ambag ng rap sa pagpapamulat sa mga Pilipino. Just look at all the artists putting out their own entries for the Baha open verse. I love seeing artists use their platform to speak about what's happening around us.
And Gloc-9's upuan, sheeshables
A song about politicians and people in power that is still relevant today. Gloc-9 even shared that he's been stopped from performing it at some shows because he was told, "Bawal daw. Huwag mong kakantahin 'yun."
Imagine a song being that uncomfortable for people in power.
Salute to all the artists who choose to speak through their music. Sana mas marami pang ganitong klaseng rap ang lumabas. Hindi kailangang political lahat ng music, pero sometimes, one good song is enough to make someone stop, think, and question things.
Much respect to Filipino hip-hop. 🇵🇭

Aside from Yeng and Ryan Bang, isa sila sa mga sikat na tandems before na may undeniable chemistry and kilig no? Akala nga ng marami naging sila. #Kyla #JayR

as a opm cd collector, napangiwi ako sa presyo tapos CD-R lang pala yung laman hindi man lang factory pressed. alam ko naman hindi yan pilitan pero naman mostly fans nila ay mga kabataan.

I’m currently curious about the history of OPM and currently research on how filipino values of being malleable and how “Manila Sound” incorporated different genres to our very own city-pop during the 70’s. If I can have someone to talk to or interview about it, it would be a great help on my end! thank you

Top favorite song of mine from the band. ❤
I've seen this music video a couple of times back in MYX but upon watching it today, I apparently haven't been fairly attentive to it.
It's only earlier that I noticed that the rest of the band members were there in the video too (only Armi was recognizable to me back then): bassist Paul Yap (0:59), guitarist Carlos Tañada (1:47), and vocalist/keyboadist Armi Millare (2:46). I am not sure if Ean Mayor, the drummer, was there too or my eyes suck at spotting him.. o_o;
Anyway, I bothered asking here on the other cast since I struggle to find sources of who the cast are online and on the youtube comments (barring the "main girl" in the video) and wondering where they are and how are they.

Anyone familiar with this production company in the late '00s-early '10s na almost everywhere that time bringing international artists sa Manila? Sobrang dami nilang pa-concert that time.
I wonder what happened to them kasi bigla sila nawala. Nagrename ba sila ng company or nagmerge with another?

Celebrating the diversity of multilingual Philippines this Buwan ng Wika with ALAMAT's LuzViMinda! ☀️🇵🇭
This group not only represents Tagalog and English in their songs, but also 5 other languages: Bicolano, Bisaya, Ilocano, Kapampangan, and Waray! Their older songs incorporated Chavacano, Hiligaynon, Sambal, and Tausūg lyrics as well.
How many of our local languages are you fluent in, or at least can speak/understand a little bit? ☺️
(Oh and turn on the subtitles for English translation. At least I remembered to post this before the month ends haha)
Song is composed and produced by the members of ALAMAT.

Yung sa mga interview, either tatanungin yung banda o artist na "sino gusto nyo makacollab" or whats even worse is yung may ipipilit na artist specifically (like tatanungin si Rico Blanco kung may chance ba makapag collab kay Ely, example lang)
Sobrang gasgas na tanong. And as someone na natugtog din, di basta basta nangyayari ang collabs. Let it happen naturally
