The stupid liquid glAss update seriously knee-capped my iPhone 12. Like I'm probably getting 2/3 battery life at best compared with before the update several months ago, and most apps run slower. Visually, the interface is still annoying, even after months of trying to get used to it. It's busy and I don't care about flashy graphic simulations for every little action I take on my device!

Apple has done users so right with the M-series processors (and I believe they have not been hostile to projects like Asahi Linux) but man oh man do I hate their liquid glass UI and I've been led to believe I'm far from alone in that.

How bad is it on OS X? I have an M1 Max MBP.
