Renting / Housing Rental house problems

Hello,
I’ve been renting a house for 1 year and half. One of the bedroom has got a saggy ceiling so is not safe to use, now the kitchen is starting to sag too around certain points.
They remove my attached garage and build a separate self contained bedroom, completely remove my rear garden and patio, due to works in the rear garden I’m starting to have mouses issue (found dropping’s).
For a break lease they want me to cover the expenses of looking for the new tenants, but no one is gonna be renting a place like this.
What can I do? How much they can charge if they can’t find another tenant?

Speak to consumer affairs, sounds like the place is unlivable so they can guide you through the next steps.

Also you can contact Circle Green for legal advice.

Gonna try that for sure. I would prefer to end this amicably, but not gonna pay for re listing, that’s crazy

Breach them. It's a lack of maintenance. You should be entitled to compensation.

Put breach notices in for all the things that need to be fixed.

Yeah breach everything and enjoy the tenant review you're going to get.

Sometimes it's easy for an internet hero to offer heaps of advice when they're not in the firing line for consequences.

Renting fucking sucks and I can sympathise completely but every house I've been in built before 1990 has a sagging ceiling to some degree, and mice are fucking everywhere even when you can't see them but keep in mind these realestate pricks have a secret blacklist if you ever want to rent again.

Incoming downvotes from the fight the power heros but I'm just telling you how it is.

If its so bad I'd just recommend moving out and finding somewhere else instead of burning everything around you.

They will charge lease fee, ad fees and loss rent.

Max they can claim i believe is up to the end of your lease i believe.
