seen a few posts like these and wanted to check myself since i heard there should be close to no dirt

2019 100k km 1.5 bluehdi, kinda 50-50 urban/extraurban, 70-30 standard-premium diesel (1st pic pressed as hard as i could). the pipe didnt feel like it had any dirt when i rubbed it

I’ve got an engine fault on my Peugeot; I replaced the ignition coil, but that didn't help, and it’s also shaking a lot. What could the next step be?

Je suis l’heureux propriétaire d’une Peugeot 2008 1.2 Puretech du seigneur de 2017. La courroie de distribution a été changée à 40 000km, les vidanges ont toujours été faites en temps et en heure.

La voiture a aujourd’hui 110 000km et cet été elle m’a réclamé de l’huile a deux reprises. Je n’ai malheureusement pas noté les km entre les deux, j’ai roulé plus que d’habitude mais rien de fou non plus.

Ma question est la suivante, j’ai cru comprendre que la surconsommation était un signe avant coureur de l’usure du moteur, je voudrais savoir s’il y a encore des réparations possibles pour maximiser sa durée de vie ou si c’est déjà trop tard ?

J’apprécie beaucoup cette voiture et je n’ai pas vraiment les moyens de m’en payer une autre pour le moment 😔 alors tout conseil est bon à prendre !

Just bought a 108 Allure 1.2L 2018. It had only done just under just over 19k miles when bought, with less than 1000 in last 2 years since the Wetbelt was replaced in August 2024.
I’m wondering if standing and not driven if could cause more Wetbelt problems ?
Picture shows the visual condition from the filler cap. I’ll buy a measuring tool, but just wondered if anybody has experience of such situations ?

Yesterday I bought an 508 2020 PHEV, all good overall but when I connect my phone via bluetooth to play music sometimes it works perfectly but other times it suddently stops mid songs for a few seconds then goes again, stops again, etc.

Anyone has/had the same issue? Tried with youtube music and youtube on a Galaxy Fold 7. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I crashed my car today, and I have decided that I will be stripping the car and selling parts to recover some of the costs. The car still runs, the engine has no damage, and the interior is kept really clean.

Most parts will be available, apart from anything damaged in the crash.

Prices will be really cheap as I don't know how much the parts go for and am not trying to sell any parts for profit. I am not a parts seller and am only doing this to recover some of the cost after crashing my car. These are properly some of the cheapest Peugeot parts you can get.

Was thinking of removing the catalytic converter and tune the ecu for cat delete and stage 1 , what results should i expect ? I mean not expecting much but will the improvement be noticeable?

Pretty dirty but who cares.

went to replace headlight pump and noticed this oil on pan and around block. whole thing is just greasy, but theres no fresh oil neither theres puddle on the ground. could be just neglect in terms of never washed??

As you can see, under the engine cover just below the injectors there is a fluid. In some areas it is thick and black, in others it is liquid.I tried to identify what it is by smell, but there's no odor. On the outer injectors, that is, 1 and 4, the fluid is present in large quantities, but in the center, 2 and 3, there's less.

I want to clarify that the vehicle has no engine oil problems; the oil level has been stable for over a month, with no traces at the bottom of the vehicle. The engine runs perfectly, no strange noises, no loss of power.

There's been heavy rain these last 3 days, so I have serious doubts about that too.

Any advice? Is this normal? If not what do you think it is ?

Il me restait un peu moins d’un quart du plein cet après midi, j’ai remis environ 20 litres de carburant tout à l’heure.
Je suis reparti et après environ 45 minutes de route en prenant des cols et en tapant un peu dans la voiture un voyant moteur a fini par s’allumer. Je n’ai pas de perte de puissance, la conduite est comme d’habitude et je n’ai pas de secousses non plus.
J’ai demandé un peu à ChatGPT qui me disait que ça pouvait venir d’un fond de cuve que j’ai pu récupéré en faisant le plein. J’ai vérifié sur le site Total de la station dans laquelle je suis allé et effectivement la station est maintenant en rupture.
Pensez vous que le problème vient bien de là ? Est ce que je peux continuer de rouler avec en sachant que j’ai pas de perte de puissances ou de secousses ? Devrais je amener la voiture au garage pour la passer à la valise ?
J’ai allumé la voiture plusieurs fois depuis pour voir si le voyant disparaissait mais non il reste bien présent.

I am experiencing a low oil pressure issue on my Peugeot 301 (1.6 VTi / EC5 engine). The low oil pressure warning appears specifically at idle or during deceleration (slowing down), but only after the engine reaches full operating temperature, and when im accelerating the oil light goes off.

​Engine oil and oil filter

​Oil filter housing cap

​Oil pressure sensor / switch

​Oil pump

​Main and connecting rod bearings (Crankshaft bearings)

I get tired, what else could be causing oil pressure drop at hot idle?

I have a 2012 Peugeot RCZ 1.6 THP automatic and recently noticed an issue with the cooling fan.
The fan comes on immediately when I start the car, even when the engine is completely cold. It runs really loud while the car is running.

When I switch the engine off, the fan continues running for around 2–3 minutes, then shuts off instantly rather than gradually.

The car drives completely normally and I have no warning lights, error messages, overheating or noticeable coolant loss.

A mate of mine knows a mechanic and mentioned that Peugeots can put the cooling fan into a failsafe mode if there’s an engine management fault, even without a warning light.

Has anyone experienced this before with a 1.6 THP? Could it be a coolant temperature sensor, thermostat, fan control module, or something else?

Any advice would be appreciated!
