Hello,
I need your advice. I don't plan to OD on my loans, but it seems like I no longer have a choice but to let some of them become overdue. 😭 I don't think I can continue with the TAPAL system anymore. It has led me to borrow from other loan apps that I didn't originally have.
Originally, I only had Billease, Tala, and JuanHand. This started in 2022 after we invested in a crypto scam. Then it was one problem after another, and on top of that, I was introduced to gambling sites. I admit that I became addicted and let things get out of hand.
I was trying to manage my addiction while also dealing with my family's needs because I felt like whenever they asked for something, I was obliged to provide for them. So I would take out loans, send the money to them, and use the rest for gambling. Sometimes I won, but countless times I lost, which only led to more stress and more problems.
I have already submitted my self-exclusion form for five years. I really have to put an end to this.
I have never had any loans become overdue before, but this month has been extremely difficult. We had to pay loans that were made by our relatives, and I have already sold almost anything I could sell just to make amends.
My relatives might think that I'm still okay, but I'm actually really struggling right now.
I am planning to stop the TAPAL system, but I'm afraid they might visit my address, which is actually my sibling's address. With UNO, I have sent them multiple SMS messages and emails asking them to restructure my loan, but I haven't received a single reply from them.
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I've always been that way unless they text me first.
I want to continue using my credit cards: BPI, Metrobank, UnionBank, and maybe Atome. I'll find a way to manage them. I just converted one of them to a six-month installment plan and have already made my first payment.
My priority is paying the GLoan under my relative's account. I don't want her credit score to be damaged because of that loan. Technically, it was my loan, but I took it out for another family member, so it wasn't entirely for myself.
My biggest concern is the newer online lending apps. I don't know if they will harass me, contact people I know, or even go to my workplace. I'm overthinking a lot right now, and honestly, I'm scared of what might happen.
I might have to give up Tala and JuanHand because I can no longer afford them. I also shared my work email with JuanHand, so I don't know what they might do with that information.
For context, I only earn around ₱30K+ a month.
For the debts I owe to actual people, I already have a plan and I will do everything I can to pay them. I'd rather let go of these online lending apps and deal with those debts than have people I personally know suffer because of money I owe them.
With my salary, I know it'll be too difficult to manage paying the GLOAN, BPI, Billease and Atome monthly if I chose to keep paying these 4 especially the first two.
I know this is a lot, but I would really appreciate your advice on what I should prioritize and what I should do next. Note that I don't plan on not paying them, I just want to be able to save then pay once I have the money. Although if I keep paying BPI, I would never save anything but they have my sibling's number and they had called in the past. Should I give up BPI too and just focus on my priority (Gloan) and the CCs that doesn't have interests? Should I uninstalled the online apps? I had good credit standing which is why I got to apply from multiple lending apps but I can't get approved anymore with other online apps.
The reason I'm scared of paying the newer lending apps is because my system has always been "pay, then reloan." If I pay them and they don't allow me to reloan anymore, I will really be screwed because I won't have enough money to cover everything else.
I'm sorry this is so long but thank you for those who would give me kind and good advice.
