Random request… Anyone have that season recap video of the medieval knight sieging the village that you could link?

With tomorrow’s deadline fast approaching, how’s everyone feeling headed into the 2027 season, lockout aside?

“Fill thine horn with oil…..and go”. A little esoteric but I dug it.

2 months ago, I looked at our bullpen, and there was maybe 2-3 guys I felt good about entering the game. I could already see yet another year where they fall short in October.

But when I saw these guys in Seattle last week, I looked at this crew up close and in person and realized something: we have a legit bullpen. Not just a solid one, but this may now be a STRENGTH of the team. Between Duran, Raley, Bowlan, MacFarlane, and Orion, we have a collection of guys that I feel GOOD about entering the game. We no longer have to push our starters into “one more inning”, which is especially important as we look to set up Nola and Painter to succeed. Tonight was just the perfect example of this.

For whatever reason, it feels like working with Stubbs has really helped Aaron out a ton lately, and the results speak for themselves.

Here are the game logs for Nola's last 7 starts with Stubbs behind the plate:

In these 7 games, Aaron has a 2.81 ERA, 1.176 WHIP and 9.3 K/9.

I think it's safe to say, those are the kind of numbers we've all come to expect from Aaron, who has been so dependable through most of his career. The Phillies have unfortunately wasted 4 of these strong starts, thanks to their feast/famine lineup and shaky bullpen, but since they've started hitting again they've won 3 of the last 4 games Stubbs and Nola have worked together.

In my opinion, Aaron, Garrett, and also Caleb Cotham, all deserve a ton of credit for persevering through what looked like a complete disaster early on. Let's all just hope they can keep trending in the right direction, and let's go Phils!

Didn’t have this on my bingo card! I’m pretty sure Franzke said last night it’s the longest HR by any Phillie this season. Longer than any Schwarbomb!

Alex McFarlane might be giving the Phillies bullpen something new.

At Chase Field, where Phillies bullpen nightmares have lingered since 2023, the 25-year-old rookie entered with no outs and runners on first and second and escaped the jam in 15 pitches.

He’s now thrown 10⅓ innings with a 0.87 ERA and hasn’t allowed a hit in his last five outings. The Phillies may have found another option for October.

Does anyone remember the video they used to play at Citizens Bank Park that was just a montage of outfielders or any baseball players colliding and it had like over the top graphics and effects on it? Or did I make this up as some sort of childhood fever dream? I swear I remember when they stopped playing it too and everyone was like “yeah that was maybe fucked up to play a video of players seriously injuring themselves” but also kinda disappointed. Let me know if this was real or not
