Seriously, what is going on with Google’s design team? First they ruined the Clock icon, and now we get this

Tell me that doesn't look like a folder holding four separate mini-apps for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and... equals? I keep tapping it on autopilot thinking it's an app group, but nope. Just a basic calculator trying way too hard to look deep.

Who is actually approving these designs? 💀

Hello everyone,

I have been using my P11P for the last 5 days and noticed something quite peculiar regarding the battery life based on which charging optimisation option I use.

• Adaptive charging to 100
  • I got around 6,5 hours SOT going from 100 to 18. Which is around 11 percent battery usage per hour.
  • This was basically 95 percent of the time on mobile network and me scrolling instagram since I was in Gamescom.
  • Signal strength was also sometimes not the best since its inside a huge building with a lot of people.
• Limit to 80
  • I got around 4 hours SOT going from 80 to 20. Which is around 15 percent battery usage per hour.
  • Just daily usage of scrolling instagram and chatting and stuff. At work and home.
  • Signal strength was mostly good. At home I always use WIFI.

In both case I have adaptive battery on. Both never heats up as well.

I'm just wondering if anyone noticed a similar pattern? It might just be that the phone is still adjusting here and there with my usage but I have observed this across two charging cycles each.

Hey i got this Pixel 11 Pro since launch and the Wifi drains so much battery is there a fix for this? Otherwise ill return it while i still can. I turned off wifi scan and stuff like that.

I was using mobile data most of the time today and i turned on wifi for maybe 1-2 hours and that drained so much battery.

Wondering why there are no reviews (except for the initial impressions)from the top reviewers on YouTube yet.

I thought it was embargo but it’s been more than two weeks since the phone released.

accubattery calculates the screen on time to be about 24mins more. i honestly can't tell which one is right.

As you can see from the image, the blue line is missing.. My pixel 7 worked fine with my car. But after I switched to pixel 10, this happens. I already tried the basic troubleshooting I found online, like updating to the latest version, cleaning cache, granting all the permission for Google map and Android auto.. today I just use Google map on my phone without connecting to the car Android Auto, everything is fine. I guess the car's Android Auto needs to be updated or something.. any idea??

I recently got a Google Pixel 5 and I'm planning to use it to free up my Google Photos storage without paying for extra space.

Here's how I plan on doing it. I would love to hear from people who know this stuff well before I go ahead:

- Download all my existing Google Photos to my PC, either manually or with Google takeout.

- Delete some of those photos (for example, all the pictures taken in 2023) from Google Photos to free up the storage.

- Re-upload the 2023 photos through the Pixel 5, which should provide free unlimited storage for photos and videos taken uploaded through it at "Storage Saver" quality

Does this actually work as expected? Will photos re-uploaded via the Pixel 5 genuinely not count against my Google storage quota?

Is there any risk of Google banning my account or deleting my photos for doing this? Any ToS issues I should be aware of?

Has anyone actually done this and can confirm it still works in 2025/2026?

Bonus question 1: Any clues on how to protect shared albums ?

Bonus question: If this works, I'm also considering doing the same process for my girlfriend's account: configure the same Pixel 5 with her Google account, repeat the whole process, then rotate between accounts (maybe once a year per account). Is this feasible and safe? Any pitfalls with using the same device for multiple accounts this way?

The goal is to be able to store a ton of videos (baby, family, etc.) without having to pay for Google One storage. Thanks in advance!

I wanted to ask my European friends who traded in with PCS Wireless how long it took for the trade-in to be finalized and confirmed? The phone I sent in for trade-in after purchasing the Pixel 11 Pro was delivered to them on Friday (you can see it in the tracking). Since it was the weekend, I was hoping I'd hear from them maybe not yesterday, but at least today. Instead, there's no news. The Google Store isn't even updated; it's stuck at the point where it says they've sent me the trade-in kit...
