seeking feeback on first draft!!!

hi! i just finished a new 90 minute play and am looking for some feedback if anyone would be interested in reading it! iā€™d be happy to look at anything you have in return! šŸ˜‡

It would be helpful if you provided some information about your play. A short paragraph (about as long as this one) that describes the subject matter would be nice. Screenplays use what is called a "logline" (usually only one sentence, which is frequently packed with too much information. I would suggest that, for your play, you write up a short paragraph that covers the subject matter and the basic issue that the play addresses.

You can put a PDF version of the play into Google Drive for free. It is not difficult to do. You can make it available to anyone who has the link to the file. As I said, this is not difficult, but if you have never done this, you should probably use Google to ask: "How do I put a PDF file into Google Drive and make it available to anyone who has the link to it?"

I am usually willing to read some pages of a stage play or of a screenplay for someone, but I cannot commit to reading the whole thing.

At least put it into Google Drive and provide the link in a Reddit post.

Try the following to put a PDF file into Google Drive. It is always a little difficult to cover steps like this precisely, but when you see them you will understand what to do. Essentially, you just upload a file to the Drive with the +New icon and then you click Share to make the file available to anyone with a Link. Do not forget to copy the Link, so you can provide it to people.

Note: You may need to set up a Google account if you do not have one. Since I use gmail, I have a Google account and do not have to sign in. But try this to see if it works, or use Google for its directions for using Google Drive.

MY STEPS FOR USING GOOGLE DRIVE

  1. Go to the Google website: drive.google.com.

  2. You may have to sign in to Google. I seem to be always signed in (because I have gmail, I suppose).

  3. In the upper-left you will see a +NEW icon. Click it.

  4. A menu opens. On it you will see File Upload. Click that item.

  5. Now browse to your file that you want to upload to Google Drive.

  6. Upload your file; then select it from the list of your files on Google Drive.

  7. Select Share.

  8. Under General Access, change the setting to Anyone with the link.

  9. Set the "Role" to Viewer in Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. This means that the person using the PDF can view and download but cannot comment or edit.

  10. Click Copy Link and Done.

  11. The link that you just copied is what you will provide to people who want to download your PDF file.
