Insignificant Other is officially my corporate breakup song
I appreciate this is almost certainly not what QOTSA had in mind when they wrote Insignificant Other, but it has somehow become the soundtrack to my attempt to escape a corporate job I have grown to hate with considerable enthusiasm.
Corporate purgatory, basically.
Also, I can no longer say “perfect” normally. It’s Perfecth now. Which, frankly, I rather enjoy. A small but meaningful contribution to confusing the corporate overlords.
Anyway. Thanks, QOTSA. And wish me luck 🤘

Full Respect to Avon
Fuck me, it seems to get better with age. Maybe it's the kind of tight riffage I miss from the last few releases.
Amazing full on.

Next single and album rollout
So we’ve gotten two singles so far, dropped about a month apart. Considering we still have two whole months before the album releases, we’ll almost certainly get at least one more. Personally, since we’re only getting 9 tracks total on the album, I really hope the next single is Sunday.
If you aren’t aware, Sunday is a cover of a song Josh co-wrote with Iggy Pop for Iggy’s album Post Pop Depression (the album also features Dean on bass as well as Matt Helders, drummer of Arctic Monkeys.) I’d rather get that one early instead of another new song, so that at least the remaining six tracks will be new and exciting when the album finally comes out.
Over the last decade or so, likely due to an increase in streaming and a decrease in album sales, it seems a lot of bands/artists release multiple singles before an album drops. While it’s always cool to get a peek at new material, it also often makes the actual album drop a bit less exciting in my experience. I know I could just ignore the singles, but I don’t have that kind of self-discipline. Oh well.
Curious to hear other people’s thoughts. What do you think/hope will be the next single? Do you like hearing multiple songs before a new album or do you prefer to savor the full experience? Does anyone ever get this right?

Insignificant Other
I know people have been making the Rolling Stones comparison with this song. But has anyone also gotten a heavy Tom Petty vibe? Particularly with some of the backing vocals and guitar soloing. I was meh on the song initially but it's really growing on me

Chad Smith Golf-Jam 2026 footage
I just saw a clip of Josh singing Let's Dance again at Chad Smith's latest charity event and the insta post mentioned the tracklist of songs Josh sung. The final one being Werewolves of London.
Please, for the love of god, can someone point me in the direction or post some footage of that cover. I need to hear it. I need my pictures of Spider-Man.
Thanks

Era Vulgaris T-Shirt at Cropp
I'm currently on vacation in the Czech republic and found this shirt in a clothing store called Cropp. It's the first time I've seen qotsa merch in a fast fashion store alongside SpongeBob, marvel and co. Somebody else saw something similar?
They were on sale and I got two. :P

Preorder confirmation
I pre-ordered the deluxe vinyl on the official qotsa site the day it went on sale and I haven't received an email confirmation yet, though the funds have left my account.
Just checking if anyone else didn't receive an order confirmation? I only received the email to confirm my email subscription. Thanks

I’m bored. Give me QOTSA and Friends’ best falsetto moments.
(Meaning peeps like Arctic Monkeys, Alain + Natasha, PJ Harvey, and so on)
So listening to Insignificant Others yet again for the 200th time today makes me appreciate Josh’s higher vocal range a lot more. If I had to choose 3 falsetto moments, it’s this song, Into the Hollow, and the ending of I Never Came.
And for one QOTSA friend moment, Matt Helders, PERIOD. Drumming and singing simultaneously is hard enough but adding a falsetto to it…amazing.
Any other moments y’all like?

Excluding QOTSA, what was the best Josh Homme Project?
Including even the little ones like Humbug by Artic Monkeys

Masters Of Reality must be one of the most underappreciated bands in the QOTSA-sphere. I love how Chris Goss is a mentor figure in Josh Homme's career. Wild that their first album came out in 1989 & they had an album last year that kind of went unnoticed. Here's a mix of some favourites.
I put the tracks in chronological order of release. If you're already in the know, then obviously I'm preaching to the converted! But if you've not listened to them before then enjoy!

Lucid dream featuring Mikey shoes.
So another medicated night of partial insomnia and rem paralysis, were I’m an audience of one to Mikey singing “Another Love Song”. Now I want this on the upcoming fall tour.
Does anybody know where this photo was taken?
I’ve always been a fan of the cover art but I can’t find out where it’s from
