Update to my previous post regarding the sneezing, this is her loud breathing. Gonna call vets tomorrow but I’m guessing it’s probably some kind of upper respiratory infection such as feline herpes virus and she will need antibiotics? Any extra info or advice welcome. Coughing video on previous post

How old is/are/became your ragdoll(s)?

Our first baby is 10 now 🥲

Our second is 8. In my head they're both still kittens.

General Advice Too friendly with other cats?

Post image

My Remi is coming 2 next month. For the last 4 months I’ve been taking him out for a walk in the mornings. He absolutely loves it and it’s a joy to watch him hunting dead leaves, accidentally stepping in a puddle and jumping 4 feet in the air as if it’s lava, and climbing trees.

We have quite a few free-roaming cats in the area, and Remi is DESPERATE to play with them. He doesn’t seem to read feline body language very well, and just wants to chase and wrestle every cat we meet. To the point he scares them away.

I’ve definitely decided I’m getting a playmate for him. But I’m just curious if anyone else’s ragdoll is like this. Comes on too friendly to other cats instantly.

General Advice Would another ragdoll be more likely to be a good playmate?

My ragdoll boy will be 2 next month and I’m fully decided I’m going to get him a kitten playmate.

I’m strongly considering another ragdoll kitten. But then rescues I follow put up so many posts of crossbred kittens needing home and I get the guilt.

Is it the temperament of the kitten that matters most? Or another ragdoll be more likely to be a successful match?

I would so much appreciate anybody’s thoughts, please ❤️

Happy Floof Somehow the last picked of her litter 🥹

She was available for weeks after her siblings went to new homes. All the while she was my first pick, and watching her remain week after week just felt like she was fated to be mine. She’s such a good little companion, and within the first 24 hours she charmed my boy cats into cuddling and grooming her too 🥹

General Advice My 10 month old ragdoll stopped playing

10 month old ragdoll stopped playing

My kitten is very shy I’ve had him for 7 months and he still runs from me. I can only pet him while giving him a lickable treat. 10 days ago I washed his bed ( the top of the cat tree) he’s slowly going back on it but not much and now suddenly hiding and sleeping more, any advice

Thank you

General Advice New Ragdoll Kitten is eating *big time*

Never owned a ragdoll kitten, an adult ragdoll, but never a kitten. He's 6 12 weeks old. I was told to feed 1/4 of a 5.5oz can. He demolished that. I topped up another quarter. Gone. Anyways he finished the whole can, pooped, peed, played, and demanded more. Ate another half of a 3oz pouch.

Even my adult ragdoll, an 18lb boy couldn't finish a can in one sitting. I would say he has worms but he was de-wormed already.

Is this typical of the ragdoll experience or do I have a monster?

Lucy is a very opinionated cloud who hates being airlifted and cuddled. He has strong opinions on consent before pets and cuddling :) Living with him, getting to know him better each day and coexisting on Lucy's terms is so enjoyable 😺
