When the shelter found Max’s microchip and contacted his family, there was a chance to bring this beautiful boy home.

Instead, they chose to sign him over to the shelter although they knew he will be euthanized if no one comes to adopt him.

No one came and now Max is out of time

He is a young, 62-lbs Belgian Malinois who loves attention, enjoys playing, and has the sweetest little habit of bringing you his bowl to you for treats. 🥺

Max needs the right home. He has done well with playful female dogs, and his shelter assessment showed that he can be easily redirected and handled. He is selective with male dogs and needs an adult-only home or with calm, older children.

He needs someone patient enough and willing to give him structure, training and time.

He doesn’t know that his family chose not to take him home.

He doesn’t know that his next day could be his last.

Bee, a 4-month-old female German Shepherd mix, needs an adopter or long-term foster. She was adopted but returned to Devore Animal Shelter less than 24 hours later due to a treatable minor upper respiratory infection. Her shelter notes indicate mild white nasal discharge, and she has been started on a 7-day course of doxycycline.

saw this cute puppy; named her poppy rose, found out she was abandoned for months. Gave her back to her rightful owner after she called our missing dog poster. She’s in a better home now 🥰

Remy is up to date on shots, potty trained and has no separation anxiety. Remy is a bit older, requires seizure medication and needs someone who is patient, preferably with bully experience. He was saved several years ago by Grandma Betty’s Animal Rescue from a euthanasia list and has been returned twice. EUTHANASIA LISTED- must exit Harbor Shelter by EOD 9-1. Charlie arrived at Harbor shelter on August 13 as a “stray," though the people who brought him in seemed to know him well. Regardless of how he ended up here, he is now on the euthanasia list after only two short weeks.  He's been out with a few volunteers, but hasn't had nearly enough time for his true personality to fully shine.

Charlie is a people-oriented dog who thrives on human companionship. He knows "sit" and “shake" perfectly, takes treats with a soft, gentle mouth, and will happily follow you around the yard with bright eyes and focused attention-especially if treats are involved. He's potty trained and easy to handle on leash.

Due to barrier reactivity, Charlie has only been able to go out as a solo dog with DPFL. He's still learning to trust again and can seem a bit anxious, though he's been wonderful with every volunteer who's spent time with him. He simply needs more time and a stable home to feel secure.  I've personally taken Charlie out twice, and he's a really good buddy-sweet, attentive, and gentle. He deserves the chance to show who he truly is.
