Discussion I have some genuine questions about what the actual f is going on with the discourse surrounding this game right now…..

Post image

Why is there such a massive hate campaign for this game right now. Why are people rooting for it to fail.

I’ve seen people on Twitter barate and harass the female rockstar employees calling them activists and woke people.

I’ve seen YouTubers calling this game feminism slop and woke AAA slop propaganda

Apparently Jason is a cuck and Lucia is a girlboss.

What is going on. If you would’ve told me that 10 years ago this would be happening to the most anticipated game and it would get this much pushback from everyone I would call you crazy.

New official screenshots just went live on Rockstar's website! The lighting, dense crowds, and environmental detail look unbelievable. Are we looking at a genuine visual benchmark for the PS5? What are your thoughts?

Grand Theft Auto VI Too many exaggerations about how Jason mumbles. I doubt it's something he does constantly throughout the entire story. From this audio clip alone you can hear his voice doesn't sound mumbled when he cracks a joke.

Let's wait till the entire game is out before we jump to conclusions about a character, many people HATED Arthur from the RDR2 trailers and he ended up being one of Rockstar's most loved protagonists.

Discussion GTA 6 became so detailed at some point that Rockstar had to abandon some realism.

Post image

Rockstar North co-director Rob Nelson explained that during development, the team experimented with a grocery shopping system. Jason and Lucia could enter supermarkets, buy food, bring it home, and restock the refrigerator.

The game featured separate grocery stores, purchasable food, and the refrigerator contents actually updated after purchases.

"At one stage of development, we experimented with a system that allowed buying groceries to restock the refrigerator."

Ultimately, the mechanic was dropped because it made the gameplay too complicated.

"We always try to find the right balance between realism and game convenience."

Discussion Thinking a woman makes a bad criminal protagonist proves you don't go outside, or you live in a very sheltered part of the world.

I don't even know where to begin. One of my last hookups was a girl who went to prison for stabbing a full grown man in the throat.

My ❄️ dealer in highschool was a tatted up lady with 2 kids who fought off robbers multiple times.

My godmother is a Lesbian pimp who beat her hoes.

I've had shoplifting dates when it was not my idea. At all. It happened a lot. Women love stealing stuff, you have NO idea.

Women are sneaky and snakey too. You wouldn't believe the type of women who've been to prison.

There is an entire genre of videos on YouTube dedicated to bailing out baddies out of jail, some who did some really violent stuff, oftentimes to men.

As a guy who goes outside, I see LESS boys and men outside. They legit just play video games and become more and more slothy at a faster rate demographically.

You always see women jogging, you always see women at rock climbing gyms, you always see women at the regular gym, boxing gym, BJJ classes, you always see women in tree-planting camps, you always see women in actual, real criminal circles.

The guys in those places are 90% of the time VERY casual gamers, like most of the guys who go outside really don't game that much and have no reason to spend time indoors to make videos complaining about wokeness in a game. Let alone WATCH something like that.

Pls go outside. GTA VI definitely represents our modern culture, the chronically online are not participants of this culture.

Honestly no hate if you feel more comfy indoors, and that's your life. It's just weird to say it's not a representation of yk.. outside when we don't see you out here.

Grand Theft Auto VI Jason's character was intentionally written to be quiet and introverted, and for good reason.

Seems a lot of people aren't happy with how Jason's character is being portrayed so far, he is quiet and mumbles leading people to believe he has an introverted personality. That can't be 100% confirmed yet as we have only seen a few minutes of him talking out of the 27 minute extended look. I personally don't mind if the character is this way. It is a change from the typical over the top protagonists we are used to seeing, and I'll tell you my opinion on why I think Rockstar intentionally wrote him to be this way.

So it's confirmed at this point he is ex-military and uses his past skills to make money, but it can also be a reason why his personality is the way he is especially if he has some form of PTSD. Let's note forget it was said he had a troubled youth as well.

"Sometimes I'm more comfortable when I have to use a gun, you know?"

That line alone in the elevator shows he is someone that doesn't do well in social situations since he is nervous or uncomfortable meeting Brian, and that can explain why he has a very reserved personality. Many people have their personality come through in their voices too.

Lastly I have a feeling since we are playing as a couple that the intention is to make it feel like we are playing as ONE person not two. Lucia is clearly more outgoing and social while Jason is the complete opposite. They are each other's better half you could say. Could be his personality opens up and evolves overtime especially after meeting Lucia, that would be great for a story especially revolved around a criminal couple.

Discussion RDR/GTA shared universe

Am I the only one who actively doesn't want GTA to be linked to Red Dead Redemption? I can't understand why people jump through hoops to link the games into being part of the same universe.

I am very happy for them to be separate stories, I don't see what benefit there would be to say Jason being related to Arthur, what would people expect, he spends his time at the library studying family history, or him getting in the Animus or something lol?

Also as an aside, I also can't understand how people can't separate the 3D and HD universe in 2026.

Grand Theft Auto VI Theory: The "Extended Look" footage is actually from June/ early July

I’m putting forward a theory that the footage we saw in the “Extended Look” on Netflix is 2–3 months old.

TGG and a few other journalists were allowed to watch GTA 6 live at Rockstar North for 3 hours in mid-July. According to reports, the first half-hour of that 3-hour session consisted of the “Extended Look” trailer that was shown.

Considering that Rockstar certainly didn’t record and edit the footage just 3 days prior, the recording must have taken place another 2–4 weeks before that.

This means Rockstar has had about half yeat since recording the “Extended Look” to optimize and polish the game before release. And that’s still plenty of time to improve and refine elements that aren’t quite running smoothly yet.

Discussion Any R* title following GTAVI will not have the same budget nor the production schedule

I think GTAVI was an anomaly. I don't think the future releases can even afford to wait that long, nor will have the same budget.

GTA6 is coming out at a time where game budgets have skyrocketed and production schedules keep fluctuating with the workforce in a lot of companies becoming simply unmanagable.

I have a wild prediction, that we will see the next Rockstar original game sooner than the distance between RDR2 and GTA6 - Not counting the online component.

My main thoughts for this is that, there's been an enormous effort that went into upgrading the engine, and building all these features that the team will not simply sit on it while there is so much demand for the worlds they've created.

Discussion Can we talk about masculinity? Really talk about it?

Because to me, a man is confident, protects who and what are important to him, and, most importantly, handles his business with clarity and certainty.

It seems anyone who’s finding Jason to be less than masculine are actually revealing their own insecurities and immaturity. Because a confident man would be with someone who makes him look better than he already is. And Jason looks really damn good.
