Discussion RDR/GTA shared universe
Am I the only one who actively doesn't want GTA to be linked to Red Dead Redemption? I can't understand why people jump through hoops to link the games into being part of the same universe.
I am very happy for them to be separate stories, I don't see what benefit there would be to say Jason being related to Arthur, what would people expect, he spends his time at the library studying family history, or him getting in the Animus or something lol?
Also as an aside, I also can't understand how people can't separate the 3D and HD universe in 2026.

Discussion I don’t want to get ahead of myself but…
GTA VII has got to do some amazing shit because we have got the same 3 cities since PS2 just expanded into states.
They are either going to ‘expand’ by adding GTA IV and V’s cities online (which I’m not arsed about) or they’re going to do it in the next game but do we really want another game with the same old cities?
Anyways, I’ll probs be dead by the time that comes out 😂😂
And another thing when we going to get a GTA set in an old school era again?!

Discussion Would you like GTA 6 to have the classic GTA 5 weapon wheel as an optional setting?
I’ve been thinking about the weapon system in GTA 6, especially if Rockstar decides to make carrying weapons more realistic and limit how many weapons the player can have at once.
Personally, I’d really like Rockstar to include the classic GTA 5 weapon wheel as an optional gameplay setting.
For example, players could choose between:
Classic Mode:
The GTA 5-style weapon wheel, where you can quickly access your weapons and carry a larger arsenal.
Immersive Mode:
The new GTA 6 system, potentially limiting how many weapons you can carry and making weapon storage, vehicles, or inventory management more important.
I think this would be a great compromise.
Players who want more realism and immersion could use the new system, while players who prefer the traditional GTA gameplay could keep the classic weapon wheel.
It wouldn’t have to replace Rockstar’s new system — it would simply be another option in the gameplay settings.
GTA is ultimately a sandbox game, so I think giving players more control over how realistic or arcade-like their experience is would be a good thing.
What do you think?
Would you use the classic GTA 5 weapon wheel if Rockstar added it as an option, or would you prefer GTA 6’s new weapon system?

Discussion An Idea for a GTA 7 Movement
I want to propose an idea for a movement around GTA 7 and the future of the franchise.
The idea is simple:
Buy or pre-order GTA 6, but don’t play it, stream it, or publicly discuss it until Day 30.
GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026, so if this actually catches on, December 19 could be the day everyone starts playing.
Why?
GTA V → GTA VI was a 13-year gap. GTA Online was revolutionary and extremely profitable, but Rockstar spent years putting new features, content, vehicles, technology, and ideas into GTA Online instead of putting that same level of effort toward developing
GTA 6.
We don’t want to repeat that cycle.
We want Rockstar to show a long-term commitment to the franchise. We want to see GTA continue to evolve through new games—not wait until the current game has run its course before moving forward. GTA 7, GTA 8, GTA 9, and beyond should be part of the future of GTA, arriving while the generations that grew up with this franchise are still here to experience them.
This isn’t a boycott or an attempt to punish Rockstar for GTA 6. Buying GTA 6 on release is our way of supporting and rewarding Rockstar for delivering the game we’ve been waiting for. The point is to then give Rockstar measurable evidence that we want the franchise to keep moving forward.
How would the movement work?
If you want to participate:
Before or on November 19 — Buy or pre-order GTA 6.
Then, until December 19, don’t:
Play GTA 6
Stream or upload GTA 6 gameplay
Post screenshots, clips, reviews, or reactions
Like, repost, share, or comment on GTA 6 content
Engage with GTA 6 content on social media
Participate in online GTA 6 discussions
You can still talk about GTA 6 privately with your friends and family. The goal is simply to keep our online engagement and measurable activity surrounding GTA 6 as close to zero as possible for those 30 days.
Then, on December 19, we break the silence. Play it, stream it, post about it, and enjoy GTA 6.
If this catches on, the contrast should be impossible to miss: 30 days of unusually low engagement followed by a massive influx of players, activity, and discussion on December 19. That gives Rockstar something tangible to see beyond people simply asking for GTA 7 on Reddit.
And if you don’t buy GTA 6 on release day, you can still participate. Just buy it whenever you’re ready and follow the same rule: don’t play or engage with it until December 19.
This is just an idea right now. If enough people believe in it, maybe we can turn it into an actual movement.
Buy it Day 1. Stay silent for 30 days. Then let’s play.
GTA 7. GTA 8. GTA 9. And beyond.
No I don’t have any GTA 6 leaks

Discussion Could GTA 6 introduce a "Controller-Swapping" feature for couples?
Discussion: Could GTA 6 introduce a "Controller-Swapping" feature for couples?
We know GTA 6 features a Bonnie-and-Clyde style couple (Jason and Lucia) and is strictly a single-player campaign. But what if Rockstar added a menu toggle for "Co-pilot Input"?
Imagine plugging in two controllers. When the story dictates you play as Jason, Controller 1 is live. The second you switch to Lucia, Controller 2 seamlessly takes over. It gives real-life couples a way to experience the story together without physically passing a single controller back and forth or fighting over inputs.
I know you can technically do this with Xbox Copilot or PC remapping apps, but a native, built-in feature would be a game-changer for single-player narrative games. Thoughts? Do you think devs should start implementing this?

Fan Made What if Rockstar made a GTA 6 story spin-off one day?
GTA 6 is finally releasing on November 19, 2026, and even though we haven’t even played it yet 😂, I’ve already been thinking about what Rockstar could do with this universe years from now.
Imagine a spin-off set in the GTA 6 universe where the main character is Jason or Lucia’s brother or cousin.
This character could have been involved in something extremely important that happened before or during GTA 6, but we never actually saw their side of the story.
The spin-off could show events from GTA 6 from a completely different perspective and reveal things we didn’t know about Jason, Lucia, Vice City and the people around them.
Something like:
GTA 6 → Jason & Lucia’s story
⬇️
GTA 6 Spin-off → their brother/cousin’s story
⬇️
Both stories connect and reveal that this character was much more important than we originally thought.
It could even have Jason and Lucia appear occasionally without making them the main characters.
Basically, a modern version of Vice City Stories, but connected directly to GTA 6 and actually expanding its universe.
Obviously, this is just a fan idea. GTA 6 hasn’t even released yet 😂
But imagine Rockstar doing something like this 3–5 years after GTA 6.
If they made it properly, with a great story and characters people actually cared about, I think it could be amazing.
Would you actually play a GTA 6 spin-off like this?

Discussion I have some genuine questions about what the actual f is going on with the discourse surrounding this game right now…..
Why is there such a massive hate campaign for this game right now. Why are people rooting for it to fail.
I’ve seen people on Twitter barate and harass the female rockstar employees calling them activists and woke people.
I’ve seen YouTubers calling this game feminism slop and woke AAA slop propaganda
Apparently Jason is a cuck and Lucia is a girlboss.
What is going on. If you would’ve told me that 10 years ago this would be happening to the most anticipated game and it would get this much pushback from everyone I would call you crazy.

Grand Theft Auto VI Too many exaggerations about how Jason mumbles. I doubt it's something he does constantly throughout the entire story. From this audio clip alone you can hear his voice doesn't sound mumbled when he cracks a joke.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Let's wait till the entire game is out before we jump to conclusions about a character, many people HATED Arthur from the RDR2 trailers and he ended up being one of Rockstar's most loved protagonists.

Discussion Can we talk about masculinity? Really talk about it?
Because to me, a man is confident, protects who and what are important to him, and, most importantly, handles his business with clarity and certainty.
It seems anyone who’s finding Jason to be less than masculine are actually revealing their own insecurities and immaturity. Because a confident man would be with someone who makes him look better than he already is. And Jason looks really damn good.

Discussion GTA 6 looks boring
I had some free time with nothing to do or watch, so I put on the the Netflix trailer/gameplay thing that's like 25 minutes long and I already planned on not buying this game on release, but idk if I'll ever get it at this point. Lucia and Jay seem boring af, especially Jay. I couldn't detect an ounce of uniqueness or eccentricity in either one of their personalities. Jay seems like he's just some boring yes man and Lucia's voice has no flare, no style, very dull. They have what I call "safe personalities" and I'm not here for it. Outside of that, it just doesn't look that impressive as far as gameplay goes. None of the side characters they showed seemed particularly interesting either. I never thought I'd make a GTA 6 post, but here I am. I feel bad for anyone hyped about this game.
