I recall stating prior to the first test in the series that Kolisi is overrated, only in the team for feel good factor and can’t be compared to the greats because he only plays half a game.

Basically, no player can play more than 9 of the 12 games from the start of the July window we just had to the end of the Six Nations, and in exchange, Fabien Galthie gets to select 33 players that in the league, must be rested for 2 games in an 8 game stretch. I saw it covered on a podcast, but it seems that what Rassie did was changing his front row one hour before the match is illegal. Also, it was pointed out that “Ox’s 50th match” was printed on the 17 jersey so this was actually premeditated a couple days prior.

Here is the law:

15.1.2        Without limiting the effect of Regulation 9.16, 48 hours prior to the kick-off of an International Match the Participating Unions must announce and exchange a list of the 15 Players who will start the Match and up to 8 replacements/substitutes.
