OldSchoolCool I fly to South Africa with the Raeburn Shield tomorrow... would like to find a way to do as many "Fan Shield Lifts" as possible.

I will try and get it into FNB Stadium with me. I don't have official access for shield (but do have tickets to match). I am working on some lines of enquiries and it could be someone in corporate entertainment is the best bet to bring it in and do it that way or someone might have contacts with security to pre clear it (did that at Murrayfield)
Either way, I am crazy enough to just think i can make this good thing happen and my mission to bring the Lineal Titles to the world continues.
Love rugby 🫡🙌 (and personally as a Kiwi watching rugby in South Africa is a boyhood dream come true)

Video Squidge - So France's new selection policy coild change the World Cup...
Basically, no player can play more than 9 of the 12 games from the start of the July window we just had to the end of the Six Nations, and in exchange, Fabien Galthie gets to select 33 players that in the league, must be rested for 2 games in an 8 game stretch. Great explainer as always from the Squidges

Miscellaneous Just bought three tickets for Scotland v Ireland in the W6N next year. £35 in total including booking fees.
Upper stand, right on the 22. Unreal value - just £3.50 for under 12's. Even with flights and accommodation it's cheaper than a M6N game. My son's ticket is cheaper than a normal match programme!

Honestly, I teared up watching this. Such a remarkable man and one of the biggest ambassadors for the sport.

Discussion Should rugby stop announcing teams days before kick-off?
Post Rassie front-row drama (a topic in itself I know lol), do squad announcements days before kickoff actually add anything, or should rugby just do it like football and announce right before? Source: Rugbypass

Discussion RWC advertising rules.
I remember from the 2011 RWC that competitor brands of the sponsors of the tournament were not allowed to advertise within so many kilometres and the 2 weeks either side of the last match at the ground.
I also maybe very mistaken and I will own the error.
The AFL have announced their grand final at the MCG for 2nd of October, due to the late availability of the MCG early in the season (150 cricket tests anniversary).
Marvel stadium (docklands) is 45 minutes walk to the G.
Is there an advertising restriction for the RWC?

Miscellaneous Tom Christie given captaincy of Newcastle Red Bulls
Love this for him, been fantastic since he arrived last November. Captained us a couple times already so I'd have thought this was coming.
I'm assuming this also means McGuigan is set to be dropped, which will I think make this his final season. Would be nice for him to retire here after moving about so much.

Discussion Kolisi is not overrated
This is more of a memo to self. But for everyone else, my name is Paul (it’s not really), I’m a rugby addict and I support NZ. This is my first time posting.
I recall stating prior to the first test in the series that Kolisi is overrated, only in the team for feel good factor and can’t be compared to the greats because he only plays half a game.
Second test (and many before that in hindsight) has proved me wrong.. he was the best on the paddock for his time in the weekend. Unreal performance.
