FYI - If you plan on voting by mail, vote extremely early because USPS is actively being sabotaged and your vote might not count.

The Trump administration is actively trying to sabotage mail-in voting, especially in blue states. They have multiple strategies and they're all dangerous to our democracy. They are actively working on their plans, so it's a moving target and there are a lot of unknowns.

  • This is already evident in early primaries, where soaring numbers of ballots are being rejected as "late".
  • A USPS whistleblower describes another method where the Trump admin is changing the USPS from a neutral carrier to a gatekeeper for ballots, allowing postal workers to refuse entire batches of ballots or the untested system could fail on its own.
  • Postmark date change - The USPS has changed/"clarified" the postmark date. Previously, mail was collected and immediately received a postmark date. Currently, they've "clarified" that the postmark now means when the mail is processed...not received.
  • CA law says that ballots are valid if they're postmarked by election date. Delaying a ballot can invalidate it.
  • The Trump administration intends to delay your ballot, so it won't count under state law(s). One method is requiring ballots to be submitted to a USPS verification "checkpoint" before USPS accepts them and postmarks them. Or another is they can collect your mail, store it temporarily, then transfer it the following day (or so) to a processing facility.
  • They're demanding states turn over their sensitive, voter records to be abused. This could set a pretext for them to claim, "we could not verify the ballot signature", and then do return-to-sender. Your ballot would simply never make it to the destination, and your vote would not count. Courts might punish after the fact, but they won't magically make your vote get counted.

The only defenses are voting early, in-person, or the judicial system.

Even if the courts step in, that's not guaranteed because the administration can simply violate the court orders under some pretext ("oh, we thought you meant xyz"), as they've done a myriad of times before, then courts are left to punish after the fact, but they're typically reluctant to undo the damage.

There is a real chance of Trump success by sabotaging USPS.

Edit: Drop your ballot in an official drop-box or at a polling place to bypass this, as others have pointed out. This is likely the safest and easiest method.

Criminal SDGE

Man, I know everyone is posting about this, and now I’m joining the choir.

We used $6 LESS energy than last month but yet our fictitious “delivery fee” was $55 MORE than last month.

But hey! At least they gave everyone a $49 credit for their bill!

It is blatantly obvious that these people are immoral. The credit was an illusion. Make the people think they’re understanding and helping out, but they aren’t going to lose money. They’re going to make it up elsewhere.

Both SDGE and the mayor are criminals.

By the way. Did you guys know the mayor makes more than the governor and as much as the vice president?

All this for a guy with a stick?! When are the fools at SDPD going to get whipped into shape? Is anyone campaigning on making our police force more professional? This video is so embarrassing. They’re so cowardly.

Sharp Mary Birch Early Discharge?

Hi San Diego Parents,
Delivering at Sharp Mary Birch soon! Have heard amazing things, but have also heard that postpartum care is lacking in certain areas. What was your postpartum experience there like?
Wondering if anyone here can share their story, especially if they decided to do an early discharge, or leave AMA (considering mom and baby were OK of course). Thank you!

Remy is returning to rescue and will be available for meeting/adoption soon. He is a bit older and has needs/boundaries that should be discussed with the rescue if you’re interested (Grandma Betty’s Animal Rescue in Julian, CA). He is potty trained, fixed, not a huge fan of walks and seems afraid of large open spaces/loud noises. He has no separation anxiety and requires medication for seizures. Remy just needs a quiet place to retire, if you think that’s with you please reach out to Grandma Betty’s Animal Rescue (@grandmabettyshouse on ig) with any questions 🖤

For nearly a decade, the case of San Diego Sheriff’s Deputy Ricky Fischer’s sexual predation rocked San Diego County. More than 20 women accused Fischer of a myriad of abuses over a two-year period ... He ultimately pleaded guilty to a half dozen felony and misdemeanor charges related to his sexual crimes, leaving San Diego County taxpayers on the hook for nearly $10 million in settlements from the civil cases brought against him. ... But just two years after the resolution of the final civil case, Fischer has a new gig – chaplain with San Diego-based Christian Law Enforcement Fellowship.

Video Lady struggled getting dog in her car so she just left the dog and drove off

Heard someone yelling in the parking for a few minutes and when I finally went to look to see why, there was a lady yelling at her brown and white husky to get in the car. She eventually gave up and the husky was just running around the parking lot. That is why I started recording. She took about 3 minutes to get out of her parking spot, so I doubt she was able to catch up with the dog to try to get it back. After she left, I went to go see if I can find the dog, but think it ran off pretty far.

The dog ran towards Friars Rd, so if anyone see a brown and white husky along there, I hope you can help the dog out.
