This case was amazing to build in! NGL most PCs now feel like a waste of space to me.

Finalizing the shroud for the GPU, but it works great even without it. No undervolt needed. Benchmarks and videos coming soon. CPU cooler samples are out to several YT channels. Website and everything else to launch when the first wave of previews come out.

For the CPU side, AM4/AM5 and LGA1700/1851 will be supported. 200W TDP on Intel, 140W PPT on AMD. It will go beyond that, but the fan speed would put it above 45dba.

GPU side, 5060Ti, 5070, 5070Ti and 5080. Sorry, no AMD for now. The PCB is too long for the 4 to 5L target.

Didn't see many using Meshroom + ATX mobo + dual 2-slot GPUs so figured it may be sharing to those interested in similar builds.

Thermals are healthy/steady, overall decently quiet under load. I've ran some llama3.3/3.1 and qwen2.5 for various light usage and the 5060ti seem to handle well, and having 32gb VRAM seems suitable for my usage (server/private local LLM). Have been a heavy Claude user until now so will take my time learning as I stress test the hardware some more as the build is still fresh.

I'm not an expert on AI/LLM by any means, dumb in general if anything so don't expect me to help with much aside from the build itself. Always open to learning more but be kind.

This is my SFF gaming PC which uses an AMD GPU and CPU. I mainly use it for 1080p gaming and I've been very happy with its performace. RE Requiem at 1080p high settings with FSR 3 upscaling, I got around 75-85fps. With FSR 3 upscaling and frame generation I got around 125-145fps.

The GPU is called the Radeon Pro W7400 8Gb (RX 7400). I believe it's a slightly cut down RX 7600 but tuned for workstation purposes. It might even be the same spec as the one in the steam machine.

I have modded the GPU slightly so I can control its blower style fan speed because at stock ,it is capped to spin at maximum 40% which isn't enough to keep it cool for demanding games. I have set to roughly 80% for gaming.

Its a very low powered PC consuming between 90-130W if I was to guess. It's a shame that this GPU is too difficult to obtain for most people, I was lucky and found it used on eBay. There is meant to be a low profile RX 9060 coming out soon so that could be a better alternative if you wanted an AMD graphics card for SFF builds.

I hope you found this interesting :) As it is all AMD I could use SteamOS but I need to learn more about it and how it works. I will list the parts below.

I am absolutely loving this PC, i know a lot of people will be telling you could have gotten a 5080 for a bit more for the price you paid for the strix 5070ti but honestly, i strictly wanted ROG, hence it was the strix 5070ti or the 5080 astral, and 5080 astral being out of reach, I decided to go with this, i initially planned on taking the 7800X3D but then for a 100 dollar more, i am getting the 9800X3D, so why not, as I plan on emulating PS3 games as well! I did get help from the community too, appreciate everyone!

Guess I’ll have to get used to having no side panel on one side. 🥲

I built this system because I wanted to downgrade/downsize.

The build came out super in my opinion and I love the form factor, I was thinking about maybe 3d printing a vertical stand even if it adds volume/worsens thermals a bit.

Also I know the CPU cooler could've been 10mm larger, but my buddy gave it to me for free because he wasn't using it so I thought why not! Thermal performance has been very good. Stress testing using Cine Bench I saw max temps of around 73° deg in both (gpu a bit cooler).

Cable management also came out well, but I was struggling on the GPU side, but I think it's very clean apart from that.

Cost (prices in CHF)(add about 20% for USD):

I do not recommend a 280m aio in this case unless you absolutely need it. Set it up with the fans in a pull configuration for clearnce issues with the top mounting plate (red on here it will fit against the plate if you grind off some stops and part of the rivets) but I used the fabs to offset it downwards and use it as a gaurd to keep cables away. Albeit had to only use 2 screws per fan so the rad could shift diagonally giving just enough clearnce for the top to clip on and case cover to slide over.

I use this machine mainly for video editing+encoding and LLM (llama.cpp SYCL + Jan.AI).

On the test bench just like this without its shroud, 77c at 23c ambient, 60% fan. Tested with OCCT Extreme at 300W and no undervolt.

Jonszo z20 , notice temps cool 4-8 lower when both cases are unlocked. I’m worrying about dust, bottom and sides have dust filter but idk if it’s enough, has anyone tried this?

I like the AM5 platform and I've built several PCs for myself and my relatives on in 2024 to 2025, using 9600X specifically. For my next build, however, I want to shake things up a bit.

250K Plus seems like a decent processor which have actually made me not disregard Intel's platforms. But it has much higher TDP than I'm comfortable with in a discreet desktop. Moreover, I want to build the system in the Ridge.

I saw some Ridge builds using 9800X and other AMD chips with a TDP over 65W. But have anyone ever tried to do the same with Intel's latest? Is there anything specific to the platform or the architecture which makes it unreasonable for such a small case? And what are my options for power limiting and curve shaping?

I'm currently planning to downsize my PC as much as possible, ideally to around 6 – 7L, without replacing most of my current hardware.

My current build:

I've been looking at the VELKA 7 Rev 3, which is around 6.2L.

According to the official specifications, the GPU clearance is around 290 × 43 × 143 mm, so technically my ASUS Dual 5070 is too thick at ~50.6 mm.

However, I've come across several VELKA 7 builds where people have managed to fit GPUs that exceed the official specifications, including builds with a 9070 XT and even an RTX 5080. Some of these involved removing/repositioning GPU support brackets or making minor modifications to the mounting arrangement.

That got me wondering:

Has anyone here tried fitting an ASUS Dual RTX 5070 / a similarly sized (50–51 mm) thick GPU into a VELKA 7 Rev 3?

My GPU is relatively short at only ~249 mm, so I'm wondering whether the extra length clearance could make the thickness issue more manageable.

I'm also curious about:

• Whether the side panel can close with a ~50.6 mm thick GPU
• Whether the GPU actually interferes with the riser/motherboard area
• Whether the GPU support bracket needs to be removed or modified
• Whether the V850 SFX would cause any clearance issues
• Recommended low-profile CPU cooler for the 7700X
• Any other clearance issues I might be overlooking

I'm currently considering the MIDORI 7.5L as the safer option, since it officially supports a thicker GPU and SFX PSU, but if I can make the VELKA 7 work without doing anything too invasive, I'd definitely prefer the 6.2L footprint.

Would really appreciate any real-world experience or advice from people who have built in the VELKA 7 Rev 3.

Hey all, putting together a sff, looking for some insight on the MOBO and AIO. Case is an nCase t1 v2.5. Goal is basically 4k gaming in the living room (controller).

CPU 9950X3D

RAM: GSKILL Ripjaw S5 (2x32) ddr5 6000mhz cl36

GPU: Asus prime 5080 oc.

Psu: Corsair sf1000.

Ssd: probably just 1 samsung 2tb 990 evo.

I've looked into the available 870 chipsets and the asus has some bad reviews but I'mtaking them with a grain of salt. The gigabyte has better reviews but it seems it's only available in white. More options open up with the 850. I was wanting to hear some insight on anyone else with a 9950 or similar cpu whether or not the gamble with an 870 itx is worth it, whether thats with the asus or the gigabyte, or will an 850 do the job just fine, and if so, which one?

And, alas, I have joined the struggle of trying to find a CM atmos stealth, both 1&2 are backordered/not available yet; do I have any other options for fitment here in the mean time that may be in stock? I have noctua fans @ 25 and 15mm on hand, so mostly just looking for radiator and pump fitment and function.

Im rebuilding my pc to fit a smaller form factor and im stuck between these two, which one should i get?

Curious if anyone else with a Gen 5 GPU in an SFF build has run into this.

I'm running a 9070 XT + ASUS X870-I in a Ghost S1 MkIII and occasionally get a complete black screen while gaming, mostly in The Finals. Windows records LiveKernelEvent 141/117 GPU watchdog timeouts. On the most recent crash I could still hear game audio, but the display was completely gone.

The weird part is I've now experienced it with three different risers:

• Giga-Mega PCIe 5.0
• Louqe Cobalt #1
• Louqe Cobalt #2

Each time the problem starts, I can get multiple crashes fairly close together. If I completely power down and swap/reseat the riser, the system then seems to be perfectly stable again for quite a while. For Context, my last crashed happened about 2 hours into a gaming session.

My current Giga-Mega PCIe 5.0 riser actually negotiates at PCIe 4.0 x16 with the BIOS set to Auto. I'm now testing with the GPU completely stock and explicitly forcing Gen 4 instead of Auto.

I've also ordered a LINKUP AVA5 Gen 5 riser to test. From what i've read on r/sffpc this seems like the most reliable 5.0 riser.

Has anyone else running a Gen 5 GPU through a riser experienced similar intermittent black screens? Particularly interested to hear if forcing Gen 4 instead of Auto fixed it.

I keep having this reoccurring issue where my pc decides to shut off when I load up games on steam. It’s been happening on and off for about 2 weeks now. I’m very confused because some nights everything will work totally fine and run perfect then just now I tried loading rust and it shut off twice on me. Sometimes if it shuts off I’ll restart it a handful of times then I’ll be able to load a game but I’ll get like 30 frames max.

When it first started happening I redownloaded windows 10 and I thought it fixed itself but kept shutting off days after. Also tried running multiple files scanners and said it wasn’t the issue. Yesterday it was bugging out but after I saw there was a new Nvidia driver update it worked fine after I downloaded it?? I’m worried my power supply or motherboard might be taking a dump but the last thing I want to do is go and buy new components or take my pc to a tech repair if I can fix things myself. If anyone reading has had similar issues or better knowledge than I do, please leave some comments. Help will certainly be appreciated. 🙏🏻

Hey everyone! Been inspired by a lot of builds on here so excited to be sharing my own.

The Case: Gintol ZZAW B2 Pro

I chose this case because the Mac Pro is one of my favourite tech designs of all time. The McPrue Apollo was an option but costs 3x more (!!), and is a bit chonkier-looking due to the wider form factor. The finish on the B2 Pro isn’t the same quality as the McPrue, but it’s still a full 3mm aluminium case and I’m completely satisfied with it!

I planned this entire build around the case so wanted to lean in to a sleek black and silver aesthetic. I painted the inside matte black and blacked out the labels on the PSU with PVC tape. I also used a black Posca marker to paint the edge of the exposed PCB on the GPU (it was a bright beige colour).

The case doesn’t have a tempered glass option so I had one made by a local glass maker. Spec: 4mm tempered grey glass, polished edges, black painted borders. Unfortunately tempering glass this size commonly causes warping so my biggest gripe with the entire build is that the glass doesn’t fit completely flush.

Mounting the glass was a separate obstacle. I wanted a tool-less design so smashed up a donor NR200 glass panel and took the bottom lip/mount (this was a pain in the ass) and cut it to size. I then used magnets at the top of the panel to close it all up.

Cable Management

There’s no hiding cables in this case. The front-mounted PSU means all cables hang directly below it, in the wide open. I did my best by running cables behind the motherboard where possible, tucking them in any gaps I could find, and using cable ties to separate runs. The braided cables on the SF850 made bends a lot easier. And black on black helps with the cables you can’t hide.

Airflow and Cooling

Pretty standard stuff - 2x bottom intake, 2x top exhaust, 1x rear intake to blow fresh air into the CPU cooler. All Arctic P12 Pro or Arctic P9. Coming from Noctua NF-A12x25’s in my previous build, I’m super satisfied with these.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini actually fit in the B2 Pro case. I took a gamble because the case spec stated a CPU cooler height limit of 135mm. The PA120 Mini is 135mm, but the fan does protrude further. Even with the fan protruding, it fit relatively comfortably - with 3-4mm to spare.

I’ve read that the top exhaust fan directly above the CPU cooler tends to steal air from the rear intake. I still wanted a fan there though, so I 3D printed a duct (in PETG) to direct the air from the rear intake directly into the CPU cooler. While I was at it, I also printed 5mm spacers for the bottom intake fans to reduce turbulence as air is sucked through the mesh.

I set up the fan curves with only a few broad speed steps to avoid constant RPM fluctuations, using CPU temp for the CPU/rear intake and motherboard temp for the case fans (GPU temp not available in BIOS). I also used slow ramp-up and especially slow ramp-down times so the fans don’t constantly react to brief temperature spikes - which is more annoying than a bit of fan noise IMO.

I could’ve optimised further (fully closed off duct), different fan configurations, additional fans etc. but I wanted to strike a balance between performance, aesthetics and practicality (less dust with top fans as exhaust).

Overall, I’m stoked with how this came out. Many hours of planning, research and building went into this (as I’m sure you guys would understand!) I’ve probably taken apart and built the PC again 30+ times at this point lol. I’m glad I get to sit back and just enjoy the build now. Hope this helps if anyone else is planning a similar build. I always wanted to make the ultimate air cooling Meshroom S. And finally here it is.

Four TL-B14015 EX and one 12015 EX for case fans. Total of five heh. My plan was to install five of 14015 but I totally forgot that I had top 140mm fan bracket and accidentlly ordered four 140mm and one 120mm. But installing two 14015 at front blocks cables so hard that I switched top and front fan. Anyway it came out very well.

But one of 14015 had issue when high rpm so I refunded it meh. I love Thermalright but sometimes their QC is quite odd

Used Noctua NH-L12 GE for CPU cooler with TL-B9W fan bc why not. Previously used IS-47-XT and L12 GE performs very good and 48mm ram clearance is amazing.

Moved PSU to the other side to use glass panel and better cooling BUT to do this you need PSU like DAGGER PRO, the one that has plug is located in the middle or opposite side. PSUs like SF750 or V850 can't do this. Technically you can, but then the fan will face motherboard side, not mesh panel.

I don't play high performance games that much but temperature keeps under 55°C

I have a 240mm AIO in a DanCase A4-H2O, and at moderate to high speed the fans create a resonance, called beating, because of their similar, but not identical blade frequencies. I've been looking at getting some new fans to improve cooling and noise, but wondering if people have used 2 different fan models with different blade frequencies?

An example would be the Phanteks T30 (7 blades) with a Noctua A12x25 G2 (9 blades), where at lets say 1800 rpm, they would have primary blade modes of 210 Hz, and 270 Hz, creating a 60 Hz beat frequency (high enough to not be noticeable).

Noctua does have a set of fans with offset rpm to avoid beating, but even with a 100 rpm offset, the modes are only separated by 15 Hz, and there is additional performance loss from not having equal fan performance.
