So I'm rereading all of the Shadowhunters' Chronicles before the release of TLKOF (and reading some for the first time) and I'm currently at Lady Midnight, right after the whipping of Emma and as she dreams of her parents her mom says that Cortana (a blade of Wayland's the Smith) can cut anything.

Could it have been possible for the sword to cut the Parabatai bond?

Among the Shadowhunters, when they divorce the marriage rune is cut (Amatis said this in TMI)... Could Cortana've been a solution to the Parabatai Curse? Maybe...

What are your thoughts?

when i was reading city of ashes, i really wanted to see what or who clary would see Agramon as, but was dissapointed when it was killed before she could see.

so what are peoples ideas for what she would see Agramon as?

I'm thinking something like Simon or Jace or her mom or Luke, dying and suffering and saying how it is all her fault,

or valentine telling her that he killed her mom or telling her how she is just like him, maybe worse,

For me, it's Simon and isabel even tho I did love Simon and Clary, but it just felt right with Simon and isabel. I adore Malec they are such a beautiful couple, their chemistry exploded, and their sexual tension was off the charts. Thank the angel these guys became a popular ship

Hi everyone, I’m from Australia and I can’t seem to find the versions of The Dark Artifices or The Last Hours with the spine art (pictured). I understand the spine art is exclusive to the US editions, however Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc. don’t show the spine art versions on their websites so I’m not actually sure what version I would be buying.

I’m just wondering if anyone owns the spine art editions, if you could please give me the ISBNs so I can try and get my hands on them so I can replace all my OG editions :)

Was reading about Horace interrogating Emma and Jules. He swears twice in the encounter. Is this the first time the actualy words have been written in shadowhunter books? Thought that wasn't allowed. Characters swore before but its always been worked around like "Clary said a very unladylike word"

have we ever thought about who the title of the second book, "the last prince of hell" might refer to? Is it gonna be Lucifer, someone else we know?

Or is another "last" prince of hell be born? (also, do we know how princes of hell come to exist?)

I'm currently finishing City of Ashes, and I've watched the TV series.

I want to ask if you guys think the angels would allow another angel of any rank to have a child with a human. Honestly, I have no idea; based on what I've read so far, I don't have an answer.

If they had one, I think the demons would try to kill them by any means necessary, since they would be a threat. I imagine them like a Nephilim from Supernatural, where they can potentially become stronger than their parents.

The way I squealed when I saw Apo getting fancast as Magnus. Please I've been saying this since 2022 so this makes me so happy. I'm dropping the photos that convinced me that Apo can be fan cast as Magnus Bane. When these photos dropped, they changed the trajectory of my life.

We know they're eventually going to have to deal with everything that's happened between them, but I'm really curious what everyone thinks their initial reaction to seeing each other again will be.

Do you picture it being emotional? Awkward? Angry? Does one of them immediately go for a hug while the other has absolutely no idea what to do? 😂
And who do you think makes the first move toward actually talking about everything?

I'm especially curious because I don't think their reunion is going to be as simple as “they see each other and everything is immediately fine.” They've both changed so much.

I was rereading who the wolf loves last night, and I just swear ( in my opinion ) Jocelyn and Luke actually have the best love story. They're literally one of my favourite couples, and it's just such a heart wrenching story!! Like he was in love with her for more or less 20 years and the ups and downs of their relationship kill me. Like last night I just felt like every time I turned the page I was getting punched in the chest

As much as I love Harry Shum Jr and Godfray Gao, I view the books as a separate entity from the movie/show. This is just for fun. I also always enjoyed Apo as an actor, his acting is so fun to watch; it doesn't hurt that he's absolutely gorgeous.

It's crazy that it took me this long to make the connection with Magnus, but damn, am I glad someone else pointed it out. Apo is technically Thai and not Indonesian, although I think he could embody Magnus just fine, and I have no trouble picturing him as such.

I wish we got to see him in more flamboyant clothing and/or makeup. It'd complete the vision, but I tried to find pictures that matched the vibe lol
