I know the chances are probably incredibly small, and I'm not expecting Konami to suddenly announce anything like this. I'm mainly just wondering if it's even remotely possible someday.
With the original Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 recently being released on Steam, it made me wonder whether Konami could ever do something similar with the original Silent Hill games, ideally the first four games.
Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 are two of my favorite games ever, and I constantly feel like replaying them. I know there are ways to play them through old PC versions, emulation, mods, old consoles, etc., but I honestly really dislike having to rely on downloads from random websites or setting up emulators.
I just really wish I could own the games properly on Steam, have my playtime and progress connected to my Steam account, and be able to install and replay them whenever I want without having to deal with anything else.
Again, I know this is probably wishful thinking and the chances might be extremely low, especially considering SH1 never had an official PC version and there are likely other complications with the old games. But with Konami bringing back franchises and releasing collections like Metal Gear and Castlevania, is there even a tiny possibility that we could eventually see something like a Silent Hill Master Collection?
Or is this basically impossible at this point?
