Im depressed and disgusted😔
My pillows are clean, I wash them once a week. I wash my hair. I currently use remedy cleanser for oily skin, aha serum which actually improved this a lot, the palmers complexion bar for dark spots, witch hazel as the toner, and Neutrogena moisturizer with spf. Idk what to do I feel like I experience this battle. I drink so much water, at least 3 full stanleys a day. My friend told me yo consider an allergy test because it may be what I’m eating.

how could i safely fix my face without drastic procedures?
Im very bothered by my scarring and i cant get any reliable and safe suggestions on the internet because my skin is very sensitive and i break out over some of the skincare products.
my current routine is basically cleansing often, Cabtreo(cindamycin phospate/1.2%/, adapalene/0.15%/ and benzoyl peroxide/3.1%/ gel)
and moisturize with light gels like neutrogena hydro boost.
i have tried a few stuff that i cannot name unfortunately bcs its been a year or more. none of those were well known brands though!
my mom says i should wait a few years until we can do laser therapy or something but is there a fixing with topical stuff or if not just make it look better?

[Acne] What can I do?
(not the greatest example pictures as all whiteheads have just been popped or in early stages but can add the new ones I find tomorrow)
I’ve had acne since I was maybe 12-13? Annoying but not concerned because that’s common for teenagers. Around 17-18 I became more self conscious about it and explored korean skincare slightly (oil cleansing, toners, serums, etc) and my skin started glowing but pimples were unaffected. It was never cystic or clustered, rarely got blackheads or scarring, just constant freaking whiteheads and red spots. I’ve tried bp, adapalene, clindamycin, whatever it was either did nothing or ruined my skin barrier so much that I couldn’t wash my face without it stinging.
I felt like it wasn’t too bad for awhile but last year my whitehead charts went up AND forehead texture made an appearance, now I wake up with new spots every day next to the red post-acne that’s takes 2-6 business weeks to fade. So basically my chin is always pink is and my forehead bumps like to show off whenever I step under light. Additionally there are these dark spots I think are sebaceous filaments but they’re so freaking visible I hate it. My GP eventually referred me to a derm and this is the current routine I’m following with the products I was recommended.
before bed: cetaphil gentle exfoliating SA cleanser -> either azclear or tretinoin 0.01% (altering nights) -> cetaphil SA lotion
morning: wash with just water -> either azclear mixed with the SA lotion or just the moisturizer by itself
I used to use beauty of joseon relief sun aqua fresh but haven’t been using any sunscreen at all for a couple of months because I feel like I’m putting too much product on my skin and my nose always immediately starts sweating after doing my routines? Also sometimes use the ordinary niacinamide serum but having trouble fitting it in with the other stuff.
I don’t even go out without a pimple patch anymore and use them overnight but it seems like they’re not very effective unless I poke or pop before putting them on (and even then it’s 50/50). I know it’s bad to but I seriously can’t be going to work with my whiteheads glaring at everyone.
I was told my next option is birth control because it could be a hormonal thing or dropping another couple hundred (that I can’t afford) to go back to the derm so they can give me more pricey medications that may or may not work.
I stay hydrated, I wash my pillowcases, I really just don’t know what to do anymore. I’m hoping it’s something stupidly obvious that one of you can point out for me and I’ll start seeing improvement. Thanks for reading this far!!

Need Real Solutions for Blackheads
25M from Sri Lanka here. I've been struggling a lot with black heads for the past 2 years. I have no idea what to do. I tried some products and none of them worked tbh. I need a proper expert opinion from you guys.
What routine should I follow? Any product suggestions to get rid of them? It feels like my entire look has changed. It's gotten out of hand.
FYI: My skin is quite oily and Sri Lanka is a tropical country with very humid weather.

dark spot on my face looks like i have a permanent shiner. what can i do to reduce it?
also, i have naturally thin skin on my face anyways, making veins really visible around my temples and eyes. i stay well hydrated. however, i do smoke. 🚬
is it purely just genetics and my habits? i’m so tired of people asking “what happened.” NOTHING!! ☹️☹️

My back has been like this for a while
So my back has been like this for a while now. I only shaved it like one time a few years ago and had no time to care about it.
It always feel like small bumps and there are some ingrown hairs and one or two 'holes' that has some puss like thing whenever you try to press on it or something.
I've been to a doctor before that prescribed some SA soap and some pills for oily skin which fixed some of the pimples I had but still looks like this so I'm trying to clear all this whatever it is. Help?!

Struggling to treat sudden breakout and find potential solutions. Please help!
My skin has mostly been clear throughout my life (32 F).
Around June I noticed small areas of texture pop up around my mouth and lower cheeks. They were tiny and flesh colored, you couldn’t really see them in photos but in certain lightings and angles I could notice the small clusters. Someone recommended I use Paula’s Choice 2% which I began July 19th, which is right around the same time the last photos are from. There is no face makeup on in those photos.
I started off incorporating PC every other night and experienced some dryness so I cut it back to twice a week. Within the span of the month, I started breaking out worse than I ever have. The second pictures are from August 19th.
I honestly got discouraged and stopped using the Paula’s Choice and now I don’t know where to go from here. The last two photos in the slide are from today and this is the worst my skin has ever been.
I don’t usually pick, but for some context, I did try to pop one early on. What came out was a thin long white string of puss that was creamy in texture. The swelling was way more than usual even though I did not apply much pressure and I have tried to avoid popping any more. A couple that I’m currently experiencing are red and inflamed the small clusters around my mouth that have been there since the beginning look like they’re forming head but I’m not sure since they haven’t really budged.
As someone who did not use actives, I know there can be a purge. Is this something I should continue to push though? It’s really hurting my confidence and making me nervous to try any new products or know if it’s working for me.
My skincare has always been simple because heavy products always tend to break me out but it has always been manageable. This is the first time in my life I am experiencing this.
Cleanser: Olay face melts *I’ve been using these since they came out
Moisturizer: Was using hydrogel boost but swapped to aestura hydro soothing cream once I started getting dryness from the Paula’s Choice
Sunscreen: Elta MD UV clear untinted
*I used to shave my face twice a week and have for years but once I started experiencing this break out I stopped and it’s been weeks since I have.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Huge pores at 27, will take any advice.
I am recovering from adult acne and I did it with my current routine, which I tried going minimal with. CeraVe foaming face wash, CeraVe moisturizer and Nivea super water 50 spf gel. I used to use BHA before I got acne as an adult and it worked until it didn't. I think I was overusing active chemicals which was why I decided to go super basic and it helped. Always had big pores. Is there anything that could help?

Is it possible to cleanse my face with room temperature bottled or purified water since I don’t like using the water from my sink because I live in a city where the water quality is bad or does the water have to be warm

Is this fake/contaminated?
Bought this today in TK Maxx but something seems off. After more research I think it should be orange in colour rather than cloudy … packaging also doesn’t look the same. Wondering if it is a fake or just a super old product.

Azelaic acid causing minor breakouts?
I’ve tried both The Ordinary’s and Good Molecules’ azelaic acid products. Both seem to cause isolated closed comedones on my chin and cheeks. However when I was prescribed an azelaic acid by my derm post-cystic acne to help with scarring, that worked amazingly and really brightened my skin. I’d like to find a brand that is compatible with my skin since it made my skin look so bright. Are there any brands that may work more similarly or have a more similar formulation to prescription-grade azelaic acid, that is also reasonably priced? Skincare routine below if helpful (same routine I used with the prescription-grade azelaic acid for reference):
AM:
Rinse face w warm water
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA
(Just stopped) Good Molecules azelaic acid
The Ordinary squalane oil
Cetaphil daily moisturizer SPF 35
PM:
Wash w cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
Tretinoin (0.5%)
The Ordinary squalane oil
The Ordinary HA moisturizer

How can I make my skin look like the second pic?

Suddenly Retinol age, but I have extremely senstive skin. Any recs?
Ive tried a few brands, nothing high end yet. But my skin is oily, acne prone AND senstive- especially top if my cheeks/under eye area. I use cerave gentle cleansing and then a Neutrogena oil skin acne wash every day. But im seeing the dark under eyes, uneven tone, and dull skin. Just about anything I use without acne in mind gives me acne, and anything with any acid in it burns, what can I possibly do?

how long for scratch to fade?
This is very embarrassing, but back in January I had a nervous breakdown and scratched my face pretty severely. Most of the scratches healed normally, but I still have a line down the side of my face that's still there 9 months later. It's flat and light brown with no texture. I've tried everything: azelaic acid, arbutin, etc. Right now I'm doing skin cycling by doing night 1: glycolic acid, night 2: adapelene, night 3 and 4: recovery, but i still see no improvement. will this ever go away?
again please no judgement. im too embarrassed to even go to a dermatologist in person, and i genuinely feel hideous.

How Do You Know if your Skincare is Working?
Hi! I lurk here more than anything trying to pick up tips and new products like I'm sure many others do. But, I can't but be frustrated. I've been trying products and changing up my routine here and there. I've been using what's recommended, giving each product some time to work, but I keep finding myself underwhelmed by the results> There's nothing bad that's happening (aside from one product), no negative reactions or break outs, but nothing actually improving either. I don't know if this is a just me thing, or if maybe I'm still doing something wrong. Like I said, there's bad reactions happening reactions, but it seems like I do a routine every day and night to absolutely neutral results.

Help my skin!
I am 18 years old, and I struggle with acne and blackheads.
Though, 99% of my acne is around my cheek/jawline/chin area, I rarely have any on my forehead or nose.
I have a LOT of blackheads, on my nose, cheeks, mustache area and chin. I really hate it!
I have pretty sensitive skin so my current routine is normally just water and sometimes CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser (my skin is kinda dry). Whenever I use other stuff like salicylic acid and those other things to help acne and blackheads, it always makes my skin worse and red.
It also doesn’t help that I have a really bad habit at picking at my skin (not just acne, but scabs, hair, etc…)
ALSO, if anyone has any advice on the lines on my neck (you can see in the first photo) it’d be really appreciated! I’ve had them for years and idk if it’s because I’m overweight or something but if there’s something I can do about it I would love to know! They’re pretty deep and they trap a lot of dirt, sometimes even when I showered the day before I have to wash my neck just because the lines get dirty.
If you guys have any other questions please ask but I really need help! I’m sick of my skin lol
