First off, I want to say the first two years of ownership of my C2 went fine. I enjoyed my bed and the functionality, as well as being able to adjust the bed at any time. Loved the variable comfort settings and it was cool to basically turn my bed into a ‘rock’ and use it for doing laundry etc. But wow, the oversight (or intentional mischievous engineering) ruined this bed.

But….

Why in the world would the company decide the most effective place to put the air pressure input port on the air bladder at a pinch point along the edge of the bed…? Of course, after two years of being oblivious to the design of the system the fabric gave way, a hole ripped open, and overnight all I had left was 2 inches of poor quality foam against the hard boxspring. I contacted support, and I laughed at the fact they wanted me to cough up nearly $300 for a new replacement air bladder(also, just one side?). Like, you can’t be kidding that I’m paying almost half the cost (I think I paid $700-800) of the original bed cost only for this to likely happen again in another couple years. I’m not even heavyset, I weigh 160-180lb throughout the year and I’m 5’11. There’s no excuses for this lack of quality. My childhood bed I used for 18 years is still going strong (passed down to my little brother)and I wish I had that in my rental now. Unfortunately, due to my current living situation as a student and limited space I am stuck waiting for my new REAL bed to arrive (Brooklyn copper flex hybrid), I’m quite literally stuck laying on my box spring until it arrives mid september. My back is regretting everything sleep number. Just thought I’d share because I’m absolutely miserable and regretting my purchase. I hope this gives someone insightful information regarding their purchase decisions. I’m sure the other sleep number beds also have similar pumps and port locations in the air bladder (the main issue). Seems like a clever scheme to keep people dumping money into their company on replacement parts rather than actually making a quality bed that lasts… probably won’t ever buy this glorified air mattress ever again even knowing how happy I felt after my first few months of ownership.

I hope and pray that all of your air bladders are safe from random unexpected tears, because let me tell you, it’s really miserable! ☹️

Mine keep erroring out saying something like failed to connect to servers. It's annoying. I wish they made a better app or there were other apps available that would control the bed.

I am looking at the Comfort Next and the Costco version. What is the difference, is the Warranty the same? I am going to get a Split King Flex 2 base as well.

I was quoted 3994.15 for the mattress and 2889.15 for the base yesterday.

The Costco bed and base is 6499.

I just bought a climatecool mattress (yesterday) in a sleep number store. The store was offering a free pillow promo, which I was able to pickup. On the receipt it shows the climatecool, the foundation, a sleep remote, a free pillow and delivery. Earlier today I was looking at getting another bed for a different room in our house and noticed that online, they were not charging delivery ($250) for the same mattress, foundation, and remote. My question is then, does the receipt that I have need to exactly match the new order I have? Since the pillow was an in-store only promo do I need to add that to the new order to show the difference in-price to get the price match or can I simply get the delivery fee refunded to me since it obviously shouldn't have been included to begin with if it's being excluded by the official website?

So the mattress is 12" and the integrated base is 8", and the integrated base (or flexFit) is required for the climate cool (unless in mistaken and the base is not required). So in total, the mattress is between 19" and 20" tall is that correct? Additionally, the pump that controls the whole bed is supposed to be placed underneath the bed on the floor, is that correct? How much clearance does the pump need? If I have a bed frame with 4.5" of clearance underneath the slats, will that be enough for the pump to fit? I like my bed to be incredibly low to the ground. I'm trying to work out the best way to minimize the height of the whole system. I have a bed that uses slats spaced 3" apart, with the integrated base is that okay or do I need a bunky board? Last question, can the Integrated base be placed directly on the floor?

I have the opportunity to purchase a c4 full size bed from a friend I trust for $100. Is this a decent deal? Also, I’m new to these beds so is there anything I need to look out for ? I trust the seller but also like to have knowledge going into things if that makes sense. Thanks for any info.

Can somebody confirm that the Climate360 mattress requires the adjustable base to function. As in, if I put the mattress on a different bed I lose the heating and cooling functions?

Edit: Can the base be placed on top of the bed slats or bunkie board?

I’m watching some YouTube videos on disassembly. I need to move the bed a few feet to install a ceiling fan. What’s the level of effort involved with the process? It doesn’t look terrible from the videos, but everything is always more difficult than it seems.

The only thing I got quoted by my salesperson was a full price 5 year option for bed and base. $350. I didn't even end up buying a base from them, so I'm not sure what that price would be on only the bed. Not liking the warranty exclusions after reading horror stories here. Not going to be happy to buy expensive parts for a 4.5k bed.

Any third party options? I read a post on here of somebody that was able to get the warranty at half price? Is there a certain amount of time you have to add the warranty? Do warranties ever go on sale? Has anybody ever added one after the sale and found another store that would give you a discount? TIA.

I've done a fair bit of looking at this bed and want to get some questions out there before my delivery next week, of the Costco Ultimate 12".

A little background:

Around the turn of the century we had a ComfortAire King setup. I don't recall but it might have been their one and only model. In any case, it was very good for us, but after more than 10 years I thought it seemed to require a 'fillup' every few days. Not an active leak, perhaps a slow one?

So I moved on, and then moved on some more, and currently we have a latex setup, configured as King made up of two Twin XLs. The reason for this is she (63 now, ~125 lbs) prefers firm and I thought I preferred medium. This worked ok for a while until my side (66 now, ~200 lbs) developed an indentation. After a warranty exchange combined with a switch to firm for me too (just one Twin), this one also seems to be denting. Sleep is very fragmented and hotel beds are distinctly more relaxing.

I think of that old ComfortAire sometimes and chide myself for getting rid of it. So when I saw that Costco has a labor day price on their Ultimate 12", I went for it, and as noted above, it delivers next week. (I'm aware that SN bought ComfortAire some 10+ years ago).

My research reveals that it is likely the same as the (now-discontinued?) i8, which was overall well-regarded it seems. Of course there are negative opinions out there, as with everything else. Never seen a 5-star review yet on anything that has say a few hundred or more reviews.

Being Costco I have a level of confidence that I wouldn't ordinarily have. We all know their policies.

Why I'm posting is to see if there are recent purchasers of this model (I've searched and read existing posts, and this one was definitely useful). But also looking for more recent stuff, and also whether any experts (ie SN affiliates, installers, whatever) have some thoughts on whether this will hew closely to the old ComfortAire. I mean, it's ultimately an airbag (don't mean this to sound derogatory, just distilling it down to its essence). I don't think I would get much use out of the tech (adaptive yada yada) but let's see.

It will be sitting on a solid, drilled plywood platform for now, but I may look at adjustable bases down the road.

settuo a confort exchange but tbey did the wrong matteess (hasn't been delivered) so tried to fix to correct one but got nowhere so tried for 5 days for support to fix it calling up and got nowhere except technical issues they are having ....... so store told me to order the correct one and do a return which i did ....... is there anybody who i can reach that can resolve this? It seems silly to have to make 1 step into multiple and I don't have the space or energy to have 2 mattresses .......

I’m going through the sleep number app and doing the things on there to rewards points to climb up and get reward certificates. I know each time you reach a new level you receive a certificate. Diamond is the highest and I’m almost there. My question is after you reach diamond, how can you get more certificates? I know you keep doing what you’ve been doing before to get the points but if you only get reward certificates by reaching certain levels then is it once you reach diamond you’re done and no more certificates? Or is it a certain number of points and then you get another certificate? Hopefully this makes sense.

When I was a kid my dad got a sleep number and it came with 2 memory foam pillows. My brother and I each stole one. They are a super dense solid chunk of orange foam. We have been looking for them for years to replace ours. Any ideas on what they were to find something similar? I keep buying pillows and none of them are dense enough. I've tried the expensive tempurpedic ones, bamboo shredded foam, sams club hotel premier memory foam, the cube foam ones and a few others years ago, nothing is right.

Pardon the repost, I asked this question about three weeks ago, regarding leaking mattress bought for a disabled, out-of-state family member. Cannot find that post, I guess it was deleted/removed.

A person responded to my problem and suggested he/she might be able to assist if I dm'd my order number. Unfortunately, have been unable to do so until now, and my original post is gone.

A service crew was sent to her apartment and she was told that a replacement mattress would cost around $450 or so, for pro-rated mattress + installation. Am hoping a replacement mattress can simply be shipped to her, she *may* be able to assemble, or find family member locally who can do so.

I have a Climate 360 bed with the adjustable frame.

Overall, I really like it.

The only feature I didn’t like is how loud the fans are that make the bed feel cool. White noise can be useful for sleeping, but this is much louder than that, especially on high setting (which really helps in this hot Texas August).

Any simple but clever solutions to deaden the noise level?

Floor is hardwood with a simple area rug.

I have been considering getting some acoustic deadening somethings from Amazon and putting underneath the bed.

I've had a King i8 Smart Bed + Integrated Base/Frame SCS for the past 3 years now and looking to make an upgrade to the look of my room with this bed frame:

Does anyone know if the integrated base would fit right into the S&S frame, or would I have to basically scrap the base + frame, replace it with a bunkie board and drop the mattress in?

And if its the latter, I'm guessing the pump would sit on the floor (since its housed in the base)?

Recently got a sleep number since we have always had a softer mattress because that's what my wife likes. Started getting chronic back pain and switched to a SleepNumber and finally feeling fully recovered.

Just a post for people on the fence cause she still gets a softer mattress while my side can be firmer and track sleep behavior.

I have the Flex Fit 2 adjustable split king bed and I am looking to purchase a bed frame for it.

The description says it is compatible with adjustable beds but I’m not sure if it is just with their brand of adjustable beds or if it includes Sleep Number beds too.

Looking at the measurements, do you think the Sleep Number frame will fit inside this bed frame? Do I need to do anything to the adjustable legs?

Also, due to a move, my Flex Fit is disassembled. Logistics-wise, do I have the Sleep Number technicians come and put the bed together before arranging for the delivery of the bed frame? Or the other way around - have the bed frame assembled before the Flex Fit is put together?

So we are going to buy the ClimateCool bed in the split king this weekend. I’m doing my due diligence and would appreciate some help. I sleep a bit more on the hot side and I also sleep with a weighted blanket. Which sheets do we purchase to help with staying cool at night for me? I know the bed has active cooling but I’m wanting some insight in particular from people who use a weighted blanket as well. It seems the reviews are mixed but I also couldn’t tell if anyone slept with a weighted blanket and how that affects the overall experience. We are planning to buy the mattress pad as well the sleep number suggest to go with that particular bed. Thanks 🙂

EDIT: purchase a set of the True Temp sheets to start. Excited to try them when the bed gets delivered. Planning to try the lyocell next time I buy some sheets.

My spouse and I plan on going into the store to try the mattress, but until then can anyone who has experience with these mattresses tell me which is the better option? He sleeps hot and I fluctuate because of blasted hormones. We also want the adjustable base which we can get with either. I have also researched 8 Sleep (over 5k with an additional subscription cost), Orion (over 3k with an additional subscription cost), and Chillipad (over 3k and an additional cost for adjustable base) but wasn't crazy about all of the negative reviews and issues with performance. If I am going to spend thousands of dollars, does it just make sense to get one bed that does everything I need it to? Any suggestions, guidance, or lived experience is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: We went and tried out a couple different models and chose the climate 360. We are really excited. It should be here next Friday. When we got home, my husband said he wished we had our new bed now because he didn’t even want to sleep on our current one. Lol. It must be good if he was impressed.

So husband and I have decided to purchase a sleep number bed. We’ve been looking at the ClimateCool but I wonder if I’ll regret it and should go with the Climate360. The main reason I want the ClimateCool is because I get hot at night (I do sleep with a weighted blanket and I know that contributes to it but I’m so use to it now that I hate sleeping without it) and I think that will help me. My husband doesn’t care about the heating or cooling. His feet get hot at night and so even the cooling might be nice for him. We did go to the store just to feel it and see if we even like it. The heating was nice but didn’t convince me otherwise. I do feel it would be nice in the winter months to have the heating to warm up the bed beforehand and then turn it off shortly after, but I wonder if I could just set a heating pad and use that instead and save the thousands of dollars difference. So is there anything I’m missing that would convince us to upgrade to the Climate360 or nah, we’re good and stick with our original ClimateCool.

Hi, I’m selling this base for $900 but we’re located in south-central Kansas. We upgraded to a king so no longer have use for it and Sleep Number doesn’t accept returns on bases.

I don’t know if I’m just imagining things, or if I’m trying to find an excuse to buy something. I’ve just installed the new air chambers, and both are set to 100. Does it look like there’s a dip on the side that has the small pillow?
