Problem Cassette Deck
I have this old cassette deck (model TC-W535) from my grandmother and it was part of a larger system and I am trying to see if I can somehow power it on its own and have it work by itself as the other pieces of the system being the amp broke.
Attached are pictures of the unit and the inside
From my limited testing the system control 1 has three wires coming from it one of which I know is the ground I tested with a multimeter, the other two are a red wire ( assuming +) and blue-white wire (assuming -)
Asked ChatGPT to look into it and it was a mixed bag I have pics of that convo too although I’m not sure it would be helpful.
Should I still peruse this or is it a lost cause or does anyone have any theory’s or things I should try?!

That board is incredibly well labeled so with a bit of know-how it shouldn't be hard to power up independently. I don't see any test points on there from your picture, but if there are little metal nubs, probably something labeled 5V+, 12V+, or 0V or GND, that's usually the best place to start. You have to inject whatever voltage is listed on those test points to start figuring out where to go from there. If not, you might have to figure out where the voltage regulator is and tap into that, usually by injecting DC current directly.
Bad news is you need something to supply said DC voltage, like an old power supply that is rated for whatever the deck takes and wire it in.
It could take a bit of careful work but I imagine it could be possible to power it without the main station, but couldn't guarantee it. There could be some dependencies from the main station that it requires.
Also, don't trust ChatGPT for electronic repair, you're liable to blow up the board at least or send yourself to the hospital at worst if it is wrong, which after being in the repair industry for a while, it generally is
